Re: The Coaching Board
The best coach I ever had was a Yorkshireman, called Coach. His real name was David but we called him Coach out of respect and to avoid confusion with Disco Dave, Dave First Class, and Irish Dave. It actually turned out that Irish Dave wasn't called Dave but at his first training he was introduced to a couple of braces of the other Daves and for a laugh said his name was Dave, too. Unfortunately, everyone took him seriously and soon it was too late to undo the damage. He was definitely Irish though.

I coach from Under 5 to Under 10, mainly the latter these days but I keep dropping back down to kick start younger groups and find myself enjoying it.

I haven't either if I'm honest. I keep getting dirty looks from the parents and I sometimes send a kid off to have a think about their behaviour which doesn't always go down well with mum and dad. My view is if they think they can do better they can have a go. Not many do.
