Right now I’d guess a fair way down. Although with the amount of games to be played he’ll probably feature at some point.Banquo wrote:I need to watch the transfer threadTimbo wrote:Gone to Exeter, so probably a fair way downBanquo wrote:where is Hinckley in the pecking order?. I'm old and slow, in the Tindall years of my posting career- though I didn't say the glaws pecking order in fairness
- where is he in the Chiefs then?
Will be interesting to see how they use him, as Armand and Jacques Vermuelen are their first choice 7’s and very different to Hinckley.

Yes, its quite a surprising, almost Kvesic like signing for Chiefs in their almost exclusive mode since Salvi retired. Not sure its an ideal move for him, thugh he is pretty physical.Timbo wrote:Right now I’d guess a fair way down. Still amazed that hill can be captain at his age. Ordering around grizzled old pros in your early 20's shows quite some character.

Especially considering that this is what he looks like when not dressed up in club kit:twitchy wrote:Still amazed that hill can be captain at his age. Ordering around grizzled old pros in your early 20's shows quite some character.
He looks like a random student. Proper Clark Kent to Superman transformation when he gets onto the pitch though.

Haha - he turns from mild mannered Clark Kent in to the Hulk rather than Superman

I suppose I am out of sync with many but I'll cheerfully watch this for Simpson, Cipriani and 12T. They rarely bore.

I used to watch George Ford play for Tigers A team. 16 years old screaming at pretty experienced pros telling them where they needed to be. This was when Big Jules used to trot out for the A team as well.twitchy wrote:Still amazed that hill can be captain at his age. If you've got the respect of those around you then you can captain the team. Age doesn't always come into it.

Sure but it's one thing giving a promising kid in the A team that role to develop him in what is basically a training game and a complete other in the first team in the premiership.FKAS wrote:I used to watch George Ford play for Tigers A team. 16 years old screaming at pretty experienced pros telling them where they needed to be. Think Ted will be just fine. Its clear that he is a player respected by teammates and opponents.
This game is a bit under the radar but throws up some intriguing match ups.
How Skivington and his potentially exciting young English coaching team get on for the rest of the season is going to be very interesting.

Agreed. I think Hill has the character to take it in his stride.
Worcester are underrated IMO. Solomons has quietly built a very solid squad to add to their academy which has been a production line of talent. Hill, Lewis and Kvesic is a very handy back row, Hougaard is a top quality 9 and Searle is a very astute signing at 10.
They’re hard to beat at Sixways and I think this one will be close. I’m backing Worcester to win.

Think Wuss might have the edge in the pack. Reckon Glaws have the better backs, and whilst the bench doesn’t have vast experience, it does have vast pace, which I think will worry warriors considerably. I agree, we never play well against Wuss and this will be close.

Re: Wuss vs Glaws - Saturday
The Worcester back three is the weakest part of their squad. Without Pennell, Shillcock, Humphreys and Fidow it’s not a patch on Gloucester’s. Such a shame they lost both Heem and Adams at the same time.

Should be a lengthy ban that. Poor from 36 for that first half, was hoping breakdown penalties would have been fewer from us given they've trained with these in mind.

Wuss started brightly but Glos got well on top and came out comfortable winners, scoring some nicely constructed tries.

As we are comparing EQP, 12 of the starting XV of that Glos side was EQ. 1 SA, 1 Italian and 1 Scot.
5 EQP on the bench.
