Doppelganger and Identity Research Society

The idea is that some people get replaced by "them". All the Beatles for a start off. Paul was killed fairly early on and replaced by a doppelganger. George was the last, and was actually the only original left at the time of Sergeant Pepper. There have been several Paul's, some were replaced because they weren't good enough and they knew that Paul would be a long lasting Beatle. Ringo didn't matter so much, because he was shit anyway.

Ffs, there's 12 pages of posts suggesting Eddie Murphy has been replaced (by aliens - I'm not sure didn't want to go there).

Ringo was a great drummer...perhaps that was after he was replaced tho.

I agree, he was rock steady, but I wasn't expressing an opinion, merely conveying the views expressed on the board.

Remember many moons ago when rebellers were trolling religious discussion boards and Hammy go contacted by their concerned mods?

I'd argue he was the opposite of rock steady tbh, he was pretty eccentric, but had great style and his fills were very distinctive and memorable.

Yup.
It was trendy for a while to knock his 'tiddly-tum-tum-tumm' style but without it the music just isn't as evocative.
Afterall,...L'pool is a seaside town. You've gotta have a bit of a 'tiddly-um-pum pum', saucy postcard and aren't we cheeky Butlins Boys. Added to which,...I have zero problem with his drumming on Helter Skelter.

Check it out on 'What goes on'. I know it's his song.....but it's a quality ensemble.
Harrisons bass totally dominates the song. Classic Drummer/Bassist combo'.

Deffo' Rubber Soul........The bass line always said George to me but Paul is a decent exponent.

....George rarely played bass (occasionally when Macca would do a solo that Harrison couldn't play) though did a bit more on Abbey Road, and macca is probably the best of pop bassists.
Read Revolution in the Head if you like The Beatles (if you haven't already).

That's kind of what I was thinking about. Go out there, people, find new worlds, bring them here...

You can discuss anything on this forum, as long as it us about celebrities and the possibility of them dying...
