England were unbelievably shit, tis true, but there was a lot to commend about that Scottish performance. We’ve been on the wrong end of too many awful but winning productions in the 6N (mainly from the Welsh if my wine soaked brain is recollecting properly*) that we’ll take it, and run off like fuck with it down the length of Princes St.

*EDIT: in fact England were uber shit in the hurricane at Murrayfield last year but history only remembers the winner/result

Well having played a little, England kicked worse, played worse, and did much less. Irrespective of the fact they might be 'better players' is suggest today. That wasn't the case

That was bizarre. I would be very pissed off as an England fan as you could see it coming. Jones has decided that he doesn't like the current interpretations and to prove a point he has told everyone to kick long at every opportunity.

Russell made some errors today but at least he varied his game (passing and kicking). It doesn't matter if you make errors if the other team will just kick it back.

The ref was frustrating but consistent. On the thread in the English board I said he was going to murder us and it would be 100% our fault for utter stupidity. Well, that's what happened.

Scotland missed too many penalties and should have closed it out earlier. But overcoming that 38-year run would always be difficult. I was reminded of Irelands win aganist NZ in Chicago. No-one in the oub thought that Ireland would win when NZ came back but they did.

Congrats Scotland. Your record against us in the last 4 years is sobering...

Btw love the way Scotland’s backrow are playing - on Saturday right up there with the Jeffrey, Calder and White triumvirate. Hamish Watson was especially good and will have given Warren Gatland pause for thought about that Lions 7 berth....
