Navidi out for another month

Wales online reporting that Navidi has another month to go before a possible return, due to a neck injury that is taking longer to heal up than expected. That's a real headache for Cardiff and Wales as surely he is out first pick blindside when fit.

Oh for god's sakes. He's one of those really-makes-a-difference types of player.

We have some very good options, Lydiate, Basham, Morgan, Tips, Macleod, Botham, Moriarty, Wainwright, Shingler, Jenkins, Lewis-Hughes etc..
It's actually hard to remember all the quality backrow players we have as they are increasing all the time.

Lydiate must be top of the pile after the summer tour, although is he better suited to team like South Africa, England, Ireland and France? But he is also very physical at the breakdown and will give Tips the freedom to play his natural game.
Basham and Tips I wouldn't put at blindside against a good team, at least not to start.

Do you think Tips will oust Reffell who was our best player in SA?

I think with Lydiate's chop tackling we need our best jackaler on the field, it offers better balance to the back row.

Not sure. Reffell was superb, but did that game suit him? Maybe Reffell starts with Tips on the bench. Tips is a world class player so I can't see him being too far from the squad.
