9 Ben Youngs (c) [292]
1 James Whitcombe [32]
2 Charlie Clare [66]
3 Joe Heyes [112]
4 Harry Wells [169]
5 Cameron Henderson [25]
6 Ollie Chessum [41]

They still haven't the memo on Chessum :). Don't like what they've done to accomodate Pollard tho.

Ha, Chessum at 6 helps the lineout, he's still good there but having a lock as mobile as him really makes a point of difference.

Back three shuffle is an odd one, can only think Potter is due a rest and the injury crisis has meant we are short of options.

{Claps} Very good.

He absolutely can play 6, but England need him at lock and I hope he continues to specialise there. However, with no Wiese, Liebenberg, or Martin, he's needed at 6 for us.

Hope Ilione gets more than the 8 minutes we gave him in an already lost match last week.

I suspect most neutrals would wish for JVP/Atkinson/Kelly at 9/10/12.

Dont mind Chessum at 6. I think he's got the mobility to play there and makes sense when others arent available. The back 3 does look odd, though.

Its a game Tigers can afford to lose, having already got 2 wins and a home game against Ospreys to come.

I also like Chessum at 6, my reference was to an earlier discussion where I was asking whether he was a lock or a 6 by preference.

In which case, I misunderstood you and gave you the wrong answer. I thought you were asking whether he was a lock or a blindside as in where should he be played, hence my confident answer of lock. If you were asking where he wants to play, that I haven't a clue on (aside from him expressing a preference on social media to not play 7 again after we tried that once).

La composition de Clermont : 15. Newsome ; 14. Delguy, 13. Tiberghien, 12. Simone, 11. Raka ; 10. Belleau, 9. Jauneau ; 7. Fischer, 8. Lee (c), 6. Cancoriet ; 5. Amatosero, 4. Jedrasiak ; 3. Slimani, 2. Pélissié, 1. Bibi Biziwu

Remplaçants : 16. Fourcade, 17. Beria, 18. Kubriashvili, 19. Annandale, 20. Tixeront, 21. Bézy, 22. Plisson, 23. Moala.

Even without Penaud and Lavanini, a third consecutive 40 point defeat for Tigers beckons!

Confusion all round, as I meant to say Tiger's preference :) :). He's going all luxury Okapi on us :)

Well it's an error strewn performance from both teams so far. Clermont's major error being an intercept for Scott giving Tigers 7 points.

It was phenomenal by Simmonds.

Ridiculous try to concede just after half time. Tigers need to wake up.

Tigers finally run with an inside runner. Actually give the man on the ball options and it's try time. Encore. No more passing it down the line straight into the opposition blitz.

The positioning and work rate of Jansen to not get round the corner and the. Clermont to casually stroll through caused much swearing in my house.

I hope Steward got a receipt from the Clermont no. 4 there. Totally sold.

I thought it was Atkinson. I'm sure if you ask the lock he'll say he did both.

That Clermont 9 is a bit useful for a 19 year old.

Ball in one hand, Clermont wing. Would have made a better pass if it had been two...

Yeah he's a cracking talent isn't he. Probably been Clermont's best player.

And the Clermont 9 has been given Star of the Match by the impartial French TV. Could be displace the current Dupont understudy?

Cracknell has been an absolute monster off the bench, what an impact.
