George Ford a week delayed from his expected return date then

. However, good England news in Quirke being back on the bench and good rugby news in holy shit check out who's in the Bath 17 shirt!
Good luck to him, cause gods know he deserves some.

This is why I'm not a fan of naming the targeted return games for players. The question is going to keep being, "what's wrong with George" every week until he's named in the side again.
Good to see Raffi and Obano getting some game time.
Bath have got a good team on paper but if this follows the form book it's going to be one way traffic for the home team.

Yep going as expected for Bath. Sale discipline still a lingering issue for them though.

Bath did well to get back into it. Spencer was very good, Raffi less so. He looked very rusty.
Sale should have been out of sight but Rob du Preez didn't have his kicking boots on.

Bath poor for first half hour but they did come back into the game quite impressively.
JJ and Spencer scored neat tries but some of their attack is so lumbering and unimaginative. Obano made a good showing from the bench.
Quirke does look rusty. I like the look of Carpenter at FB.

Carpenter does look a good young player, from famine to feast in terms of fullback; Steward, Malins, Freeman, Hodge, Carpenter, Furbank and I've probably missed one out somewhere. Could be a back three of fullbacks soon.

Spencer just kills them. Every ruck he has to settle himself and place the ball just so before passing. It’s really painful to watch and just slows everything down.
