Reading news such as this does horrify, and at least makes me unfavourable towards the ideology that is Zionism.
p.s. I'm not an anti-semite. I watched In Darkness the other day and I was rooting for the Jews, not the Nazis - if you need proof.

No need to explain that. Being a Zionist as actually more anti-Semitic than being an anti-Zionist, because the Zionists think the Jews belong in Israel, whereas the majority of Jews don't actually think that. Most Zionists are not Jews, either. They're Christians, mostly Americans, who want the Biblical Israel recreated. The Bible is the book of the Christians, not the Jews (although the Old Testament is a direct plagiary of the Torah). Jews are not a race, they are the followers of a religion. Semites are not a race they are a linguistic group dominated by Arabic speakers. Ethnically Arabs and Jews are the same and originated in the Arabian Peninsula. The Jews who originally migrated out of Europe into Palestine under the British Mandate, then proceeded to massacre the locals and drive them out (along with the British) were ethnically mostly European. The demographics have changed a great deal over the past few decades, with a huge influx of Mizrahi Jews around around the Middle East and Africa, including ethnic Arabs, Iranians, Berbers and Negroes. Meanwhile, the ethnic cleansing of native Palestinians continues.

Please, that is surely a derogatory denonym, and has no place in a modern tolerant society. I suggest you'd do well to edit your post.

I should add that clearly some people are both anti-semitic and anti-Zionist. These people undermine criticism against Israel, and should be dealt with severely.

Not where I'm from, and I'd appreciate it if you didn't try to impose your culture's interpretation of language on me. I also speak Spanish, in which the term is widely used. What would prefer, btw? Pretty much every term is offensive to somebody, basically because Europeans/whites/Caucasions?? have used them in a derogatory way. But I'm not European, and therefore neither am I subject to European perspectives on terminology.

Dear BDS supporter,
We’re urging the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights to take the necessary measures to uphold and protect the rights of Palestinian, Israeli and international human rights defenders who campaign nonviolently for Palestinian rights, including through the BDS movement. Please add your name to our appeal now.
Having failed to stop the rise in worldwide support for the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) movement for Palestinian freedom, justice and equality, Israel is now launching a desperate and dangerous fight back.
At Israel’s request, governments in the US, UK, France, Canada and elsewhere are introducing anti-democratic legislation and taking other repressive measures to undermine the BDS movement. In France, one activist was arrested simply for wearing a BDS t-shirt. Israel is using its security services to illegally spy on BDS activists across the world.
Israel has just imposed an effective travel ban on BDS movement co-founder Omar Barghouti. This repressive move is being seen as a step towards revoking his residency rights, as Israeli ministers threatened a few weeks ago.
Take action now: Sign our appeal to the UN about Israel’s war of repression on BDS
This follows thinly-veiled threats of physical violence against him by Israeli government ministers that prompted Amnesty to express concern “for the safety and liberty of Palestinian human rights defender Omar Barghouti”.
Israel’s huge campaign of repression against human rights defenders and the BDS movement is designed to shield it from being held accountable for its violations of international law.
At a time when the Palestinian people and people of conscience around the world are commemorating the 1948 Nakba, the ethnic cleansing of most of the indigenous Palestinians, defending the right of human rights defenders struggling for Palestinian inalienable rights is more crucial than ever.
Please add your name to our appeal today and share it widely. We’ll let you know when we deliver the appeal to the UN.
Many thanks,
Palestinian BDS National Committee

Negro is very, very old school. Like, "I'm just getting to grips with this emancipation nonsense" old school. I'm pretty sure I'd be eating my own teeth if I were to address a group of young African Americans on the train as "negroes". I could direct tourists to Phildelphia landmarks giving directions such as, "go to where those negroes are standing and take a left".
Not cool or clever.

Old school where? This is what I'm talking about. It's not offensive where I'm from. & I'm not referring to African-Americans either, because I know they dislike the term as it has been misused by white Americans. I'm talking about Mizrahi Jews from Africa, who are commonly referred to as Negro Jews within their own community. They might actually be offended if you called them 'Black Jews,' but Negro is perfectly acceptable in most African countries where it hasn't been misused, and actually features in a number of African countries' constitutions.
Anyway, this is all a bit off-topic . . .

I think a strongly worded letter to Susan Devoy would be in order.

Sunday is Nakba day, in commemoration of the massacres, terrorism, rape and torture Israel employed in destroying entire villages and towns to drive the native Palestinians out.
Couple of good pieces here:
The reason the UN never intervenes in Palestine - in the way you describe - is that the US vetoes it. And yes, Moon, like his predecessors - all chosen with the outright or tacit approval of the US - talks a lot. The Security Council is an anachronism; if UN authority was handed to the General Assembly, there might be progress towards a truly internationalist body.

“Anti-semite” has lost its sting, because every justified criticism of the Zionist Israeli government is declared to be anti-semitism. The word is so overused and misapplied as to be useless. Indeed, to be declared “anti-semite” by the Israel Lobby is to be declared a person of high moral conscience.
Currently the Israel Lobby is at work destroying anyone associated with the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) campaign, which is an effort to sanction Israel for its genocide against Palestine. The popular musician, Roger Waters, is one of the few brave enough to support this movement.
Waters says that many of his colleagues, who protested the Viet Nam War and South Africa Apartheid are too “scared shitless of Israel” to protest what former US President Jimmy Carter called Israeli Apartheid.

He has all of the right credentials - having called for those disloyal to Israel to have their heads chopped off, and repeating his long-standing demands for expulsion of Palestinian natives from Israel. Latest in a long line of psychopathic mass-murdering racists to have served in the Israel government, including most of its leaders.
