Always sad to see an exceptional player have to retire through injury. Best of luck to hin for whatever he does for his future

Damn. A real shame. He's had a great career but I thought there was still a chapter or two to come.

He was brilliant in the U20s I didn't think he'd step up to senior rugby due to his size but he proved that he can compete with the best, a great player and very sad to see him retire, I hope his health is all ok in the longer term.

That’s a huge shame and he was such an integral part to our success in the last six nations wins. Sadly this isn’t a surprise given his recent injury woes. Wishing him all the best for the future.

Years ago I had an Iranian A Level student in Kent (brilliant at Biology). I kept saying to her "There is a young lad playing in Wales, he is half Iranian and will play for Wales one day".
It was worth waiting for, he was a great player with a really good attitude. He was not flashy, but was one of those players with the ability to make the whole team play better. It is a sad loss that he has had to call a premature end to his career.

Really rated him- sort of player you love having in your team, as a player.
