Walker really needed the rest

I had to laugh at Esterhuizen looking miserable in that one picture of SA lifting the trophy. It’s insane a player of his quality just getting one run out vs the minnows in a World Cup, but DDA is ridiculous.

40-12 final score. Riley scored, which is nice. Others were Lamb, Dommers, Green, David, and Lynagh.

Green's try was really quite something.

Predictably Newcastle are proving to be the league's whipping boys. I do hope they get a few wins this season.

4.25 for the Green try, which was really something spectacular.

Smith does well to get that kick away under pressure but he's overcooked it, only for Green to superman in and rescue it. Great catch and finish.

To be fair you did call it spectacular. Therefore surely t makes sense the kick was perfect for it to be so?

I suppose you are correct - if the kick wasn't in the format it was, then the try wouldn't have been such a wonderful piece of skill to finish it.

Mind, by that logic, Ben Youngs has made some perfect passes as an integral part of some ridiculous catches by his fly-halves in his time.
