Youthful backline for Falcons. Hutchinson at 12 could turn out to be a good acquisition for them, 16 stone Scottish age grade IC who previously played for Edinburgh.
I suspect a miserable time for them against Sale though even with a few being rested by the Sharks.

Yeah, tough for Newcastle who have had a short turnaround and quite a few missing. Good luck to the young lads but its going to be a test for them.

Not watching live but four tries each and Sale lead due to more conversions slotted.

And the game ended with Sale running away with it.

Newcastle were competitive, especially up front until the very end. Was a cracking battle between Brantingham and Harper! Both showed up very well! Redshaw was assured and Pepper continues to impress.

Just got away from Falcons in last few minutes. Byrne's try comes off a nice move. Reed is a bit quick. Small but he must be one of the Prem's quickest players. Highlights here -

His second try, he goes through a half gap just off acceleration catching the defenders out.
Sale doing well against the teams who look like they're going to be mid table and lower. It's going to be interesting to see how much of an outlier that beating against Exeter was when we come up against some of the stronger looking sides.

Two good young props which hopefully bodes well for England future. Mention that Asher Opoku-Fordjour looks a good prospect and showed well in his brief cameo at the end.

This is where I'm hoping England are using Harrison. He was the academy forwards and development pathway coach before taking on the scrum coach role. Tigers unbeaten academy teams were coached by him and his pathway helped through the Heyes, Martin, Reffell etc to the first team.
There's some serious potential coming through and now we need to nourish it.
