I believe vaccines developed for smallpox are effective against mpox.

Will this be effectively contained, and if not, given the relatively high mortality rate from this 'clade 1b' strain, can we expect this to be something else to prepare against in some way this autumn.?There are currently no cases of the virus in the UK, the UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) hs said, and its deputy director Dr Meera Chand claims the risk "is currently considered low".
