this is getting stupid with Itoje. Madness- Bath have put their 2/3's out as well, which I get, but hardly good news for Glaws, Brizz, or Sale.
Tho Saints also putting their 2's out, season too long cos of RWC I suppose,plus squeezing PRC in.

I get it, but it's a bit frustrating that Bath are almost ignoring this game. Definitely my anti Sarries bias saying this.

Bath's selection was predictable. A final appearance for some departing the club, a few fringe players and youngsters.
Makes Saracens job of getting 5 pts a whole lot easier.

Bath in full playoff preparation mode. They've won two trophies already and now are building for a third. I'd have liked to see them go a touch stronger just for the benefit of the competition but it's understandable why they haven't.

Well at least Itoje won't be playing in the Premiership semi or final.
Next time he plays he'll be Captaining the Lions.
At the start of the season, I predicted a Bath v Saracens final so surprised Sarries haven't made it in the end. I'm sure McCall will get them back up there.

Said it at the beginning of the season that this Sarries team was done.
McCall and his team have not moved forward with the game. A 9-10-12 of Van Zyl, Burke and Tompkins is just utterly dreadful.

It's a pretty average midfield isn't it. Made worse by the Sarries pack losing a lot of their carrying threat. The two Vunipolas weren't international quality anymore but in the Prem they were useful players to get over the gain line. Carre came in but he hasn't managed to stay fit all season. It's interesting that they've moved to bring in a Samoan LH and a Fijian that can play both sides for next season.
Some more forward momentum and then get Hartley and Spink fit (they've missed Lozowski as well) and they should start getting go forward. Once you are winning the gain line battle it's always easier. That being said the half backs have got to start putting Sarries in the right areas of the field. They don't have a side to play around the middle of the pitch, pressure and keep the game in the opponents third, The Iceman made a career out of keeping it simple and playing for territory.

Yeah I don't see if or how Farrell fixes this. Pointless bringing him back imo, and if he gets more international caps I'll be livid.

Oh aye, Fazlet isn't going to be a silver bullet to the Sarries problem. As I said bigging up the pack physicality will help. Burke just needs to start playing smart and to actually take control of the game. I'd have said Lozowski to 10 but he's going to be out for a long time.

Let’s not forget they were pretty poor last year when Farrell was there.
Sorrell going may lead to a change in plan in attack which is long overdue.

Basically van zyl or whoever they currently have at 9 are pony. Plus they haven’t replaced top players or got the pre cheaty depth.

Plenty of full bore teams have done worse at a motivated Sarries
