Gets his chance v.FN&P Tue 22, with Ashman on bench.
If he comes through fit and accurate he may get a Test bench slot, who knows.
He may have been a skip option Tue too but AN Other with more experience considered best

That captaincy point may also be because George will come off after 45/50 and it means less disruption?

Probably, though OF historically was rarely subd. so it would be a natural flip. JG had mixed fortunes with Eng. tbf. but stepped up again well in Arg.

I thought he was an excellent skipper in a pretty iffy team tbh.

Those late losses in the AI's were difficult, SB was doing the full front row thing at 50 mins. or so - not ideal for a skipper starting there.
