Someone will have to clarify Muldowney for us. He has completed he eligibility period but is not living in Scotland right now. Can he still be capped?

He was included in Scotland A some years ago but pulled out due to injury.

London irish also have Cowan and Maitland.

Newcastle have Scott Lawson

London Scottish additions:

Josh Brown
Jack Cosgrove
Alec Coombes
Craig Jackson

Josh Brown also had a brother who played for LS at some point, he was a 6/lock as well. Don't recall his name or what he's doing though. I could be making this up.

Muldowney was already Scottish qualified when he came to Glasgow, I assume through a grandparent or something so he would still be eligible.

Hastings played a lot/all of the game at the weekend. Looking at the stats he had plenty of defending to do!

So Jackson, perennial N0.2 as Cips moves to Wasps next season. How long is his deal?

If it's only residence then he's probably not qualified, unless he was with them for a touring squad like the Churchill Cup.

Yeah, he signed for Rotherham Titans in Jan. Think I mentioned it on the old board.

John Beattie starts at 8 for Castres (not Montpellier) against Clermont today, Richie Gray on the bench.

Some of our important internationals have played for their clubs this weekend. Jackson started at 10, Taylor stared at centre, R Gray came on for 20 mins. I'd much rather they were all having a nice rest to be honest!

I don't see the problem with any of those. Jackson needed a chance to stake a claim ahead of Weir. Taylor back to a winning side. Gray hasn't exactly looked super sharp though I guess we really couldn't do with him getting injured.

John Cooney, Connacht scrum half born in Scotland but represented Emerging Ireland. Still time to poach him back mind.

Source? Says he was born in Malawi.

EDIT: Scratch that. Whoever edited the wiki must have accidentally picked Blantyre in Malawi as opposed to Blantyre, Lanarkshire.

Watched LI-Exeter this afternoon and I still quite like Steele as a scrum-half. He's physical enough for international rugby and he gets the ball out no-nonsense. Doesn't have much of a sniping game though which I think we need to check the defence and give Russell that extra half-second.

Pretty dissapointed that we lost to that LI side though. Their discipline is horrible and they hardly win any ball.

Low was ok for Exeter. Hardly noticed him tbh.

Sniping runs that keep the defence on their heels are great, but that half a second compared to the 4 seconds that the ball currently lingers in the air coming from 9???

Just a reminder that Ollie Atkins who is packing down for Exeter is also SQ. Previously of Edinburgh and capped for the A team, I believe.

Maitland starts for LI. Interesting.. I thought his leg injury had recurred. The prem teams flog all their players anyway.

Edit: so does Cowan who was also supposed to be in need of some recovery from the head injury.

Steele starts at 9.
