Ok, it was just a friendly against a weakened German team, but considering their strength in depth, I think our youngsters did pretty well.

Pickford has something very special about him. He plays behind a terrible defence at Everton but has still shone. He was immense last night. Hart should have to earn the shirt back at the moment as there are a few better keepers worthy of having a run now.

Loftus-Cheek had an excellent game too.

Been saying it for a while now but we do have some exciting and capable talent. It's all about getting the balance right. We're far from sorted though and one decent friendly hasn't convinced me that Southgate will have to balls to drop some favourites in must win matches.

It'll be interesting to see if we can pose a threat and have some good possession against Brazil next week.
