George North returns.
Great to see the WRU have agreed a deal to bring North back to Welsh rugby next season on an NDC.
Now the verbal jousting starts as all four pro sides make their plays to tempt him to join them.

"It's fantastic George is returning to Wales on a NDC. Just 25yrs old he is in his prime & will flourish on NDC. Its great for game here in Wales & we will work with George in coming months to determine which region has best playing environment to suit him."

Blues have declared interest in him. Think putting him at the Dragons could cause problems considering it looks like they've beaten the Scarlets to signing Ross Moriarty.
Scarlets would be his best option imo. Their back line would be incredible

With a few good young wings coming through, should Wales be thinking of developing North as a centre. He has done well enough in the past when pressed into midfield service and is young enough to work on his game.

Fin by me but I can’t see it happening. Hopefully not Ospreys at th least moment until they can sort their coaching out.Tre wrote:"It's fantastic George is returning to Wales on a NDC. Not sure on the Scarlets as their back three of Halfpenny, McNicholl & Steff Evans is pretty settled.Ross. S wrote:Blues have declared interest in him. Think putting him at the Dragons could cause problems considering it looks like they've beaten the Scarlets to signing Ross Moriarty.

I guess he could be an option at centre but Davies, Williams & Parkes are tough to dislodge.
Would he be a regular ?
Ospreys could be a good option, he'd be part of a good attacking back 3 with Dan Evans & Giles.
Is Cuthbert staying at Cardiff ? Would the 4G pitch suit North?

The Scarlets having a bagful of backs the Ospreys may be the option ..yes they have their coaching problems that hopefully should be resolved in the new year but the other 2 have their issues that also would count against them .Sandydragon wrote:Fin by me but I can’t see it happening. Blues will need him once the Scarlets inevitably poach Owen Lane...

Re: George North returns.
Not to sabotage the North thread but why the f*ck would Moriarty go to the Dragons? Fantastic player IMO and should be looking to step up from a team like Gloucester. At just 23 that is utter madness a move that is tantamount to regression.Ross. S wrote:Blues have declared interest in him. Think we'll see a totally different Dragons next season.
I'm sure if Moriarty is keen to sign he knows who else is going to join them too.
He's not going to throw his career away to get stuffed every week.

Re: George North returns.
Surely the Scarlets have their quota of NDC players - would be nice to see one of the other regions given a chance.
Especially the Blues.
Especially the Blues.
