Re: LaRochelle v Wasps
Daly on the wing again. It’s starting to have the smell of permanence - I’m assuming at least Bassett and Watson are available.
If Wasps get anything from this it’ll be a bonus.

No Bassett two matches running, starting to sound like the transfer rumours are true sadly.

Saints must’ve wafted a load of £50 notes under his nose. Even then it doesn’t make much sense career wise.Beasties wrote:No Bassett two matches running, starting to sound like the transfer rumours are true sadly.

Re: LaRochelle v Wasps
I'm maybe reading too much into it but he's uber unlucky not to be picked considering the form he's been in irrespective of how well Daly's playing. Also having both Eastmond and Lovobalavu on the bench seems like centre overload, 5 by my reckoning.
Edit: duh it seems Bassett's down as injured (although he wasn't last week). As you were.

Daly retaining his place at 11 makes me very happy.Mellsblue wrote:Daly on the wing again. It’s starting to have the smell of permanence - I’m assuming at least Bassett and Watson are available.

Must’ve been a sweet offer or Saints hounded him till he gave in.Banquo wrote:Takes All sortsMellsblue wrote:Saints must’ve wafted a load of £50 notes under his nose. Re: LaRochelle v Wasps
Bassett is broken. Robson, WLR and Simpson can cover wing. Cips, Gopps and Daly can all cover fullback.
No idea what's with Watson though. New signings to Wasps often seem to have a first season focused on conditioning though.

So now JCW out due to lower back strain, Eastmond and WLR out due to illness (something in camp?), Watson on the bench, Miller to start at 15, Will Stuart in the 18 shirt (PDJ is injured, this would be his 1st XV debut).

Frankly Miller over WLR seems like an upgrade.Raggs wrote:So now JCW out due to lower back strain, Eastmond and WLR out due to illness (something in camp?), Watson on the bench, Miller to start at 15, Will Stuart in the 18 shirt (PDJ is injured, this would be his 1st XV debut).

Perhaps, WLR does some stupid shit here and there, but he does a lot of good too.

I don't get the WLR antipathy; sure he's not the brilliant player of a couple of years ago but remains quality.Raggs wrote:Perhaps, WLR does some stupid shit here and there, but he does a lot of good too.

Re: LaRochelle v Wasps
So, does a team now not have advantage after advancing from just outside their 22 to 5 yards short of the oppo try line?!?!?

Re: LaRochelle v Wasps
its possible there was a penalty offence against La Rochelle in the Wasps 22, but even so, you' think the advantage from the marginal penalty would have expiredMellsblue wrote:So, does a team now not have advantage after advancing from just outside their 22 to 5 yards short of the oppo try line?!?!?
