I can only assume he’s had a pre-match pint of a local beer, Grimborgen. It’s absolute fire water. I had a few pints of it one evening whilst on holiday there in the summer and I was all over the shop.I R Geech wrote:What the actual fuck is Lacey on?

La Rochelles first 20/25mins was immense. Ofloads eveywhere, players coming on to the ball at pace. It was great to watch and almost impossible to defend. Like Exeter on speed.Banquo wrote:just turned over from snow-quins mess. Is defence optional?

Re: LaRochelle v Wasps
I'd assumed that there was a serious foul play when they started going back. When it was for Wade's tackle (which looked fine, he just bounced off), and 60 yards, and 7+ phases ago, that's just taking the piss.

Have I missed something....apparently 1st phase is now called 'Launch' according to BOD?

Re: LaRochelle v Wasps
If you have, I have too. When BOD said “Wasps have the best launch in the Premiership”, I was wracking my brains another player whose name began with Launch.Banquo wrote:Have I missed something....apparently 1st phase is now called 'Launch' according to BOD?

Nice to see it penalised, shame it's the only time I've seen it penalised in seasons.

I was being serious....mostly. After my disdain at La Rochelle employing him, closely followed by him guiding La Rochelle to their record win over Clermont, I’ve been tracking his progress and he’s playing very, very well. Assuming my pigeon French hasn’t let me down.Banquo wrote:still got a load of skillBanquo wrote:funny old world. Meanwhile, fair play to Wasps hanging in there after being whipped for an hour.

Yep. It’s his position when playing at the highest level. I’d still like him to play 13 in the Premiership every now and again.Banquo wrote:Daly is looking the biz as an all round good winger

Re: LaRochelle v Wasps
La Rochelle have been relentless, powerful, and pretty impressive in the conditions. Wasps usual defensive wanderings and trying to force things too much were their undoing, but showed spirit and stuck in there. Lacey is a twat and needs taking off the list.

La Rochelle are playing impressive rugby this season and if the secure a home Champions' Cup QF, they'd be well worth a flutter to win it!
