I like this one. I've no issue with us not being the strongest. We can't spend like the French, and we can't rest like the Irish.

The iceman showing his test match animal petulance. Shame as he’s playing well otherwise.

It’s all very un-Sarries.

Or stick all our best players in just a couple of teams...Raggs wrote:I like this one. I've no issue with us not being the strongest. We can't spend like the French, and we can't rest like the Irish
But no hiding the fact this is a little worrying as an England fan.

...does Healey think he played for Saracens?

Seeing as there's only Toulon who've ever won 3 on the bounce and Sarries have only recently won 2 I wouldn't be that worried about them.

Why is it worrying as an England fan? As you've just mentioned, most our England players are spread out.Timbo wrote:Or stick all our best players in just a couple of teams...Raggs wrote:I like this one. What worries me more as an England fan is the intensity I see Ireland bring to their games, and I worry if we can match that.

Well, that is a horsing. Even moreso when you take in to account it was against a team without a flyhalf. George was average, as was Clark. Skelton was abysmal.

Dont think i've seen Saracens give up tries as easily as they did tonight for a very long time. They are obviously seriously out of sorts. Clermont were terrific mind.
From an England POV it is a bit concerning that we're 0 from 7 over this weekend. Not only have our teams lost, but its very hard to pick out our international players who have really stood up.

Yet to really see that intensity from Ireland away from their own fans.Raggs wrote:Why is it worrying as an England fan? But you’re right that it’s no big deal in the immediate term. Long term I do believe the structure of our domestic competition needs to change to fully develop the talent our academies are producing.

other than his tackling, which is in line with the rest of sarries tackling; pin on the inability to keep the ball (take a bow Will Skelton), and not have Vunipola B to get over the tackle line......against a side of runners....you get what you saw. It was, in truth, a magnified version of sarries last few games.Mellsblue wrote:The iceman showing his test match animal petulance. Shame as he’s playing well otherwise.

A number of solutions. I'd still favour having the AP as a league and ditching the play-offs. I'd also be happy ditching the group stages of the Heineken Cup and simply having a cup tournament. And I'd be happier doing either of those before thinking of dropping the number of teams in the AP

Will Skelton is employed to flop over the ball like a big spastic newborn giraffe?
