Dragons Signings

Post by Numbers »

Well the Dragons have decided to reclaim some of our players at Bristol:

Rhodri William, Ryan Bevington and Jordan Williams

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/rugby-union/41872454

Good news, they could do with a 9, not sure if Jordan Williams will be used at 10, 15 or wing, Bevington is good in the loose.

It will be interesting to see how Jordan Williams is playing these days. Had been a very promising junior but struggled to move up like his contemporary, Amos.

I have seen Jordan playing for Bristol ..he certainly gives a sharp attacking option and created some great opportunities from full back . Rhodri Willisms will be also be a good option at 9 and playing well . Lastly actually Bevington will add a bit of depth to the front row options which will help greatly .

On paper a good set of signings.
Ex prop Ex coach still a Welshman and enjoying retirement

Rhodri Williams is a good player.
Interesting today that the dragons announced the signing of South African centre Jarryd Sage who's dad is Welsh from Newbridge.

Interesting facts about Jarryd Sage - his brother Dylan Sage is a regular for the SA 7's side. And grandfather Doug Hopwood is considered by some to be one of the greatest Springboks in history.
So he has some pedigree, Hope he turns into a diamond.

Moriarty confirmed. Very happy with that. Hopefully we can get North as well.

Hopefully a Dragons revival is underway. Bit of a gamble for Moriarty, but someone needs to do it.

Hibbard has signed for next season, hopefully as backup to Eliott Dee.

Hibbard will be excellent for the Dragons, very good experienced addition to their front 5.
Hopefully it'll push Elliot Dee onto bigger & better things too.

Another Welsh qualified exile joins the Dragons for next season in Worcester lock/backrow Huw Taylor.
Decent pedigree, Junior world cup winner with England a couple of years ago.

Aye. Not really broken through to the big games yet but certainly has promise. If Jackman sacks half the players he is promising to then next seasons dragons team is going to look very different.

An article on The Dragons in the Guardian today:

Or mostly about David Buttress, he seems like a good chairman to me or at least he is making the right noises.
