They've certainly been using this excuse as long as I can remember. The line that we've shown we can be dangerous if we can just get hold of the ball could use an update, apart from anything else there's never been a team that wouldn't be better if they 'only' had better tight five players, it's hardly just a Scottish issue

What a weird response. I can only comment on the last 10 years or so of wishing better Scottish front row players existed at all, but missing 9 internationals in the front row with the player pool we’ve got most definitely is an issue.

The interval between repeat mild episodes is crucial. It takes at least five days for cerebral glucose use to normalise after an episode. Any additional insult within this interval exacerbates the damage and can lead to axonal damage, oxidative stress and damage to white matter. Additional insult would be anything that results in a rapid acceleration or deceleration of the brain (think getting cleared out of a ruck, for example). All of this going on in a young developing brain is even worse.
Young, developing, brain. It's Mike Brown. None of those words apply.

He's about the same size as Wade without the step or work rate, though he's probably faster going on the outside
His feet looked as fast to me but yep, not the biggest bloke.
looks exremely nippy with a hungry attitude..seems to bag a hat-trick each time he plays. 5'8" is ickle these days, but Ickle was more than useful.

Three touches in Bath v Newcastle in the AWC and the answer is no.

Nathan Hughes is running again, wonder if he may be targeting an earlier return.

Not that I've heard. Not good news on Sam Jones either this week, worst case his career is over

Yeah. Everything I’ve read over the past few months suggests his career is over.

Awful luck.

Wasps flanker Sam Jones is due to see a specialist this week amid growing fears that his career may be ended by the horrendous injuries he suffered during an England training camp.

The 26-year-old has been out of action since shattering his leg and ankle while taking part in judo drills in Brighton in the build-up to the 2016 autumn Test campaign at Twickenham.

Jones was grappling with Maro Itoje when he was hurt in a freak accident, wrecking his hopes of a senior international debut.

Following a sensational start to last season with Wasps, the former England Under 20 openside had been a prime contender to start with the No 7 shirt but instead he has been engaged in a gruelling rehabilitation process.

Sportsmail understands Jones recently returned to light training but that has led to discomfort. Sources have indicated he is seeing a specialist this week to gauge the extent of the latest setback but optimism about his prospects appears to be fading.

Last September, Wasps director of rugby Dai Young said Jones was set for a comeback in November but he said: ‘It was three or four injuries in one.

‘He broke his leg, his ankle, his syndesmosis (a joint between the tibia and fibula at the ankle) and ripped all the ligaments in his ankle. It was horrendous.’

That sounds utterly grim. Wish him well but its not looking good.

Judo drills!!! Nothing like two untrained Judoka's (?) going at it for player safety. Might as well have armed them with bats and given them a free shot.

Judo is used regularly at many rugby clubs.

Sounds like a horrendous injury. Awful news if he can’t carry on.

That is such a shame for the guy if it turns out to be the case. I thought he had genuine test potential

Maro must feel awful too

Jesus, I did not recognise that as Cole before p/d posted. The last 10 years have been very hard.

Rob Miller looked likely at the weekend and is a guy who has often be overlooked. Will struggle to get ahead of Le Roux but definitely has the talent.
