Re: Tandy Gone
This is only good if the Ospreys can do what they have never really done - get a good coach externally. (Not that their success with home-grown coaches has been too great, either...)Numbers wrote:I can't say that this hasn't been on the cards.

The candidates will get free access to the football and a tub of Joe's ice cream a month because there is not a lot of money in the bank for a top quality external coach and new players unless the finances have suddenly got better Not qualifying for the Champions Cup will not improve that at all.

Charv, Tandy and ....Owen ?. That was a good backrow to watch. They'd lose but it was fun watching.

Inevitable. Whilst not the force they once were, they are a better set of player than recent results suggest and indeed they have hinted at in occasional games.

Re: Tandy Gone
So the Ospreys have named Allen Clarke as the temporary head coach. Not sure if this will make much differance ...but we will see.
He will have a few weeks to work with the sqaud not on international duty. But it is really up to them as group to work on what they are willing to do to move themselves onwards and possibly salvage something from this season even if that is just a springboard for next season.

Champions Cup qualification must be the target now.ALunpg wrote:So the Ospreys have named Allen Clarke as the temporary head coach. Not sure if this will make much differance ...but we will see.

Re: Tandy Gone
Agreed but with their position and 8 games left it would be a heck of a turn around . I think the criteria is excluding the SA teams top 3 plus the highest points for the seventh.Numbers wrote:Champions Cup qualification must be the target now.ALunpg wrote:So the Ospreys have named Allen Clarke as the temporary head coach. Not much chance of overcoming Edinburgh to get the 7th slot so they would have to claim the 3rd slot in their conference if it's close then the season finale at the Blues will be spicy.
Remaining Fixtures
Connacht Away

Cheetahs Home

I think they should be looking to win most of those games, Leinster and Ulster being the two tricky ones, tho Ulster aren't great this season.ALunpg wrote:Agreed but with their position and 8 games left it would be a heck of a turn around .
