Agree. I think part of it is that it is undeniably getting more popular for a number of reasons, so will attract people that have never played the game. I can’t imagine that these people are particularly schooled in the ethos of the sport at grass roots level.Chunks Baws wrote:Scumbags.

Whilst as fans we like to think that rugby will influence wider society if it catches on, reality is that that might happen to some degree, but the vast swathes of people who will get into it (through marketing or whatever) have no interest in its values. Bawbags will be bawbags, so we need to call it out when it happens and make sure it doesn’t turn into football with segregated fans and all that carry-on.
My guess when these arseholes are hunted down is that they live in the north west somewhere and have social media accounts where you won’t have to look far to see the phrase “we arra peepul”.
