aha. But the pre-edit version is preserved!
Can you prove that you didn’t quote it and edit the quoted text yourself?

In a vain attempt to get the thread away from puns (if not strictly back on topic), did people see this: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/rugby-union/43331799

I can actually just imagine some of those meetings as the likes of Kitchener try and explain away why their report is nothing but red.

Thats good stuff from Bakewell. He's absolutely right. There really is no excuse for a pro player not to be working flat out to improve.

Begs the question of what Bakewell’s predecessor was doing. Surely this is a basic requirement of a coach?

He's gotten an instant return, sustaining those returns is not as easy, and even less so if he repeats this level of criticism in public. The improvements needed to come, whether the public flogging when there had been improvements I'm not so sold on.

Isn't this supposed to be the EPS watch thread though, which rather begs the question of what are comments on Bakewell doing in this thread? Unless Genge is back is there any Leicester forward who'd interest the EPS?

There hadn't been one since the start of the season when Blaze left. So senior pros like Fitzgerald and Kitchener clearly decided it was time to put their feet up.

Would you rather have the menstrual puns? Cause I can spin this off into a new thread if you'd rather have those back?

I'd prefer no discussion on Leicester outside of Manu and Genge (and outside EPS interest Toomua). If there is a discussion around Leicester then similar to Bath it only seems right to mock their mostly inept display this season, though for both it's been so many inept seasons it's all a little boring by now.

Unfortunately, Dan Cole still plays for England...

Mocking Bath? Entirely valid, if anything, quite late to that party (though several fans have gone from mocking to sharpening their knives - looks like we're struggling for Turnout tonight's SF

I'd allow both Bath and Leicester look set to improve before Quins.

Quins beat Bath quite comfortably last week.
Although their 19 year old FH with about 15 minutes in his legs, did get chased down by our 20 year old #8 with 80 minutes in his; despite a 10m head start (that one's going to live long in the memory)

Mercer is getting a lot of praise for that, not unfairly so. Worth keeping in mind Faletau looked faster on that same play, so Mercer would be faster than the current England back row, though so would Brian of Magic Roundabout fame, but wouldn't perhaps be a big advantage by top test standards

Yeah. We win one week and then lose the next 3. We need to get hopes up briefly, you see.
