Mothers and babies spaces? You are joking?

Is that considered a handicap or just a courtesy? Are there also elderly spaces?

Never seen an "elderly" space. I'm sure that I have also seen "parent and child" spaces in Texas.

In Germany, parking garages often also have "women's" spaces, which I originally thought might have been the Serje's menopausal spaces. On close examination, I discovered that they are not, in fact, 30% wider than standard spaces, but are simply well lit and close to the door.

You know, I noticed that I park my huge SUV perfect, yet I have a hard time parking my small SUV straight.. it is crazy. 30% wider space isn't a bad idea.

I should also say @Coco, that parking spaces in Europe are really small compared with the US. The're really only designed for compacts like the Golf. Anything bigger and getting in and out is a struggle.

Crazy world. An elderly person would need the convenience more than a mother... seriously... walk a little you fat cow and quit batting out kids. Your vagina is not a clown car.

I'm kidding... sorta.

I sometimes bend the rules a little when I’m out with my son, and chose to interpret “mother and child” as “parent and child” so that I can use a convenient spot.
It does embarrass my son a little, though, now that he’s 25.

Not to mention insensitive to those who only have one baby.

It’s a fecking minefield this car park engineering lark. Thank goodness Bognor Regis University run a degree in the subject.

People who think reading Classics is a serious degree, like say Boris picking someone entirely at random

I think I only know two people who studied Classics for their degree. One is a teacher in a private school (Glenalmond), presumably preparing future students of Classics, and the other is an NHS GP Practice Manager in that well known hotbed of Greek literature - Paisley.

Now haul on ye ballixes! I wouldn't be half the cunt I am today if I hadn't received 4 years of dedicated tuition in the works of Pliny the Elder and frankly, without studying Catulus I'd be fecked if I ever tried to take a war fleet up against the Carthaginians.

In the spirit of openness, I studied four years of a three year combined honours degree in Zoology and Pharmacology at Nottingham, before finally completing a BA (Hons) in Modern History with the OU. I have currently completed 2/3 of a Masters in Museum Studies with Ulster University. With the exception of 2 years commanding the Army's compulsory drug testing team and the last 6 months as a museum project manager this collective learning effort has net almost no immediately obvious value whatsoever. But I believe that it may have at the very least staved off Alzheimer's for a few months, which means I don't have to resort to the Tumeric-cure and watch my lungs fall out of my arse!

I'm all for people studying at university, merely the act of studying itself I'd warrant a good thing. It's just the attitude surrounding classics I find odd, that it's a subject considered of great import, when really it's more on a par with cruise management.

I say this well aware my own subject of economics is well deserving of scorn. I also say this really only considering there are only a few subjects of worth, namely in the fields of maths, physics and chemistry
