Nice touch by Vern calling him a few days after the game and I'm glad him and Laidlaw have had a chat and a beer. Still think his excuse is a bit pish.

Yup, it's a tough job. He made a mistake - all refs do and will continue to do so. It's just been blown out of proportion because Scotland, the underdogs, were on the verge of something historic.

Professionals behaving like professionals. Good stuff.

I do see what he's saying, mused it to myself some time after, him darting like that at least stopped any potential for any of our livid players to let the emotions get the better of them. That said, perhaps I'm doing our players a disservice there.

Guy has wrecked 2 6N games, a RWC final and 1/4 final a 7s final.

The guy isn't up to it and protected or is corrupt and protected.
