Home internet connection

Post by Donny osmond »

Inspired by the droid in a box thread, I've started looking for a new home internet deal. We currently have Virgin cable TV (the signal to our roof aerial doesn't work, so we had to get a fibre cable), I'm just off the phone with Virgin looking for a broadband only deal so we can drop the cable TV and the deals the guy gave me were all based on using the fibre cable...

So, my question is this: what sort of Internet connection do you folk get at home, speed and reliability, and does that come thru fibre cable or thru a std phone line? And how much does it cost you?
It was so much easier to blame Them. It was bleakly depressing to think They were Us. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.

£25 a month unlimited super fast BT, no idea how it gets here or how many Mbps I get but for me it is fast and reliable, I work remotely and regularly need to download or send large documents and very pleased with it. I have my work laptop wired into the router, family laptop has a dongle and there's not that much difference in performance.
