New Kits

Post by Peej »

One of the highlights of the long off-season is the announcement of new kits. Wasps will almost certainly only release theirs the day before the season starts, but have any of the mire proactive clubs shown their colours already?

Quins released this last week: https://shop.quins.co.uk/kits/harlequin ... 18-19.html

It’s OK. Better than last years anyway.

Bristol kits are here - https://www.bristolbearsrugby.com/news/ ... -revealed/

Too much red, not hoopy enough, no city crest.... these are about the most un"Bristol" Bristol kits ever. I quite like them though.

Very dark away kit... surely that could lead to some clashes?

Relatively nondescript this year for Glos. Its OK, classic enough, too much cherry and not enough white if I am being critical.

Reminds me of when I started watching club rugby, and the Gloucester team was great - Hazell, Fanaluoa, Forrester, Simpson-Daniel, Mercier...kit's quite good

Yep, he would have been my first purchase once I’d won the euromillions and bought Wasps.

New Saints home kit. Nearly nailed it, if the hoops went round the back and Toolstation was replaced with TP it'd be lovely. As it is, don't like the sponsor colour clash and the back is just plain black

Not if you'd seen it in the flesh you wouldn't...

Actually, I don' tmind the home shirt - the white one is just a bit "bleh" though

I quite like the kit actually but that picture is horrendous.

You can tell Wood isn't really feeling it. He must have known he wouldn't be at the front.

I like the faded Tigers stripes in the kit.

This looks like a solid, midtable, establishing yourselves kit.

Is that Haskell next to Biggar, making himself look like a tit already?

Not only did someone design it, but people signed this off!

Gives a vision of dark beige hoops on a mud-brown background.

But wait - isn't this simply an exercise in making money out of fans gullible enough to cough up for the "latest" kit? And thus another step down the wendyball path to Hell?

Whether we like it or not, clubs need to make more money, and a new shirt design, that people can choose not to buy, is probably one of the lesser evils they could opt to pursue.

Like Sale's new home strip, not so keen on the away strip. Think I preferred last season's luminous yellow affair:
