Which is my #1 reason for media regulation change in the current climate. Social Media needs to be treated like a media and not like a technology provider. If it were, they'd need to regulate and they'd lose a huge quantity of their profits. And we all know the US will not take a lead on this, so it's up to us...

Now we're distracted and the EU is distracted and no-one is doing anything about the rise of dangerous nationalism across the world. If there are some specific problems where some of what he says crosses a line then fair enough that can be looked at , but whilst a good many of us likely find him odious the general complaint that propaganda can't be allowed under free speech is nonsensical

Agreed, Europe has way, WAY stricter laws on hate speech, and gives no mitigation for being home-grown. It's highly likely that he'll step out of line (or convince someone else to), and we can nail him then, if he doesnt, then he doesn't, and has the same rights to say hateful crap as everyone else.
