Skinner was an ankle injury and I figured that was likely to be a few weeks. I did a straight swap for Gray who - fitness permitting - will stay in the team.

All of my players bar AWJ are starters, but I also have Henshaw on my bench so that's one zero. I just don't think it's worth a 20 point hit to swap out a bench player

For it to be worth it, you have to be confident that the player you bring in will score more than 20 points which definitely isn’t a given.

Especially for a player who may only play a significant part in this one week!

In the premiership I normally have my captain as a scrum half who regularly gets me 80 to 100 plus points. For the six nations I think i am going for a high scoring prop as my captain.

Based upon the analysis I’ve done using last season’s data, last season’s SR data and the data from the Premiership for this year so far, certain positions typically score more consistently than others. Centre for example is usually the weakest scoring position which is why high scoring centres are such a huge asset. Forwards on the whole are much more reliable. Wingers can obviously do well, but it’s a bit more dependent on whether they score or not.

Had I done that this week I'd have done much better. But I picked Furlong and he had a disappointing game really.

Did well in some places, but Hogg and Sexton's early departures hit me badly. Still, I'm sure others are in the same boat. Huw Jones had another low scorer.

Murray got me 43 points. One part of me wishes I’d made him captain, the other says Mako can better it.

Huw Jones has been poor so I wouldn’t expect him to score many points, but for him to score less than a player who was only on the pitch for about 10mins is woeful.

Hogg’s injury aside, I’ve had a decent week so far with 288 points in the bag and 6 starters including my captain plus a sub to start.

The injuries are really screwing me over at the moment though!

I can't say I've ever rated Jones, so hardly surprised.

There also seems to be high scores for forwards and low for backs... At least the backs I pick don't score!

Going to drop all my centres if Hogg is fit for next round. Useless.

297 points with 5 starters and 3 bench players (who are all starting) to come, including my kicker. Surprise high scorer so far? Steyn with 43.

Lol. My captain was a slight mistake. I thought SOB would make yards through the Scottish forwards, who were a lot better than I expected. So he got 22 points, doubled as captain. Meanwhile, he'd replaced Braam Steyn in the XV, who scored 22 from the bench...or 44 standard points.

Jeez.

This was an up and down week. Mako, Ryan, SOB, Murray and May all scored 40+, Guirado hit 25, and Mark Wilson got 19. But no-one else hit that magical 18 point mark, even if most got close.

My inability to puck a captain transcends competitions it seems - but I'm getting much bigger scores out of my players here than in the Prem

Points are still be calculated ATM but as it stands I’m 3rd overall so very happy with that.

Highly annoying that Rugby Inside Line is currently 1st!

On the on hand Mako has made my life very difficult for the 6 Nations fantasy league. On the other, he’s just given me a decent wedge of transfer budget for the Premiership fantasy league.

I’d been pruning my squad a little in the last few rounds so I now have over £700k to reinvest! This must be Mark McCall feels like when Nigel Wray gets his cheque book out.

Ouch, yeah. At least everyone else will lose points for Mako and Hogg! As those are two of the most chosen players...

No idea who to replace the former with, tbh.

As others have said though, his loss is at least mitigated by the fact that most people have him in their sides.

I may muddle through with the average scoring props I have for the next round and replace Hogg instead without taking the hit.

I only picked 3 props, so need to get one. Got 29 players, though, so can pick 2 new players. But my spare is a Scot...so I'll be ditching Mako this week, or maybe an Irish player would suit better...Will decide later, got time.
