England look like world beaters when they get on top up front. When the opposition puts pressure on them they look very ordinary. I think today they thought the game was won and so did most people when they went 31 points up. I can’t recall a time that a top side fell apart so badly.

Certainly, following the euthoric reaction when England beat Ireland, the media is suddenly more pessimistic.

Oh no. Reading some of the write ups in the Time sand England have better players than us, it’s all the coaches fault. I feel one or two of their players are a bit overrated.

The margin was certainly beyond my wildest dreams, but I've seen a few headlines saying Wales "thrashed" Ireland. Really? A comprehensive win, yes, but one try apiece is hardly a "thrashing", is it? Odd word, that. If they'd said "stuffed" I'd call that fair. "Thrashed", no.
