We wuz robbed!
What else is there to say other than I congratulate everyone of you, trust you will get on it for at least a month and enjoy a well- deserved celebratory Babycham or two.

If Scotland win it will be almost as enjoyable as the grand slam for me. Incredible performance, utterly incredible

Greatest comeback in international history by a distance; greatest humiliation ever visited upon Twickenham; all gone in a flash. Bah. On any other day, I'd be gutted.

Eddie’s fatties couldn’t stand up to the pace - perhaps they were tired!

England look like world beaters when they get on top up front. When the opposition puts pressure on them they look very ordinary. I think today they thought the game was won and so did most people when they went 31 points up. I can’t recall a time that a top side fell apart so badly.normanski wrote:Eddie’s fatties couldn’t stand up to the pace - perhaps they were tired!
Certainly, following the euthoric reaction when England beat Ireland, the media is suddenly more pessimistic.

I don't think there's a top 5 team in the world that fears England now. Eddie's made a piñata

Oh no. Reading some of the write ups in the Time sand England have better players than us, it’s all the coaches fault. I feel one or two of their players are a bit overrated.Buggaluggs wrote:I don't think there's a top 5 team in the world that fears England now. Eddie's made a piñata

England. What a bunch of chokers. Put them under pressure and they crack, and everyone knows it now. Reckon Ireland will take them out next time too.
But still no doubt they will dominate the newspaper predictions of Lions XVs etc. Especially the Ice Man (what was that post match interview??).

Magnificent from Wales, the coaches and most of the team (except perhaps Gareth Davies). AWJ a legend. And Anscombe's kicking?? I thought someone had gone insane when he took the kicks instead of Biggar. But what do I know??
Fantastic and, more unusually, totally ruthless.

Re: Irish eyes: smiling or tears?
The margin was certainly beyond my wildest dreams, but I've seen a few headlines saying Wales "thrashed" Ireland. Really? A comprehensive win, yes, but one try apiece is hardly a "thrashing", is it? Odd word, that. If they'd said "stuffed" I'd call that fair. "Thrashed", no.
