Anscombe to Ospreys

Post by Sourdust »

This is being reported as a done deal now (although that's no guarantee these days).

Seems inevitable that Sam Davies will have to look elsewhere; he's too experienced (and old) now to put up with being backup, and with Luke Price coming on he's going to get squeezed.

Will Blues sign him? Look elsewhere? Or promote Evans to 1st choice and develop below him? I hope the choose that last option personally, as Evans looks the business to me and one more year of regular starts should see him blossom.

As an Os fan I can't pretend I'm not excited by the prospect of having Anscombe, though.

Maybe Sam will go to the Dragons, they will need someone with Henson leaving and Tovey on short term deal until the end of the season, I agree regarding Evans, he looks the real deal to me, the Blues will need a backup nevertheless unless they want to play Matthew Morgan at 10 in the international windows.
