Re: Sup, er, Rugby? 2020 thread
I just wish successive coaches stop trying to make Perofeta and Plummer a thing. FUCK OFF. This shit's come at the expense of better 10s in the Blues region, who've upped sticks and left Auckland entirely. Perofeta and Plummer just feel like the sunk cost fallacy in action at this stage. Perofeta is about as much of a 10 as Joe Moody is, and is about as reliable as a goal kicker (homeboy couldn't hit water if he fell out of a boat), and Plummer simply isn't at the standard expected of a Super Rugby 10 at the moment. In a couple of seasons, maybe, but not quite yet.

lol. Chufs.
Also a belated lol at the Skirty Bois. Just a shame it had to come at the hands of the Dual Dicks.

Man, the Chiefs are having a real Foster-era nostalgia night. So many errors, Cruden doing some fairly low percentage kick-plays...

Imagine losing to the Blues.
At home.
In South Africa.
With a South African ref.

Especially considering South African teams with a South African ref have a +159 penalty boost.

Weird to be playing Marchant on the wing and Ioane at 13. Has Leon McDonald been reading Eddie Jones's book?

It's all backwards because Foster and/or Ioane will have a hissy fit otherwise. Personally I'd think either of those alone is reason enough to keep him on the wing.Puja wrote:Weird to be playing Marchant on the wing and Ioane at 13. Has Leon McDonald been reading Eddie Jones's book?

Who is that Bloos No. 8? Big fend, big step and an eye for the gap?

Hoskins Sotutu.
Akira might as well start looking at which Top League club looks good.

Worked out ok. Marchant got two tries and Ioane carried for most metres (and embarrassed himself off a kick off)zer0 wrote:It's all backwards because Foster and/or Ioane will have a hissy fit otherwise. Blues 8 is good too. Rapid off the base.

Win against a NZ franchise for the Blues, hey I'll take it, but 15 versus 12 and they go for a drop? Bonus point gone begging.

Bulls versus Highlanders, someone needs to fire the person that checks for jersey clashes.

Who'd have guessed that if you keep selecting a decent 10 at 10, and put a guy who's not suited to 10 at 15 where he spends most of his time anyway, they actually do much better?
Perofeta is still useless as a fullback though, and it's clear that someone like Matt Duffie is needed in that backline to handle the aerial attack.
Also, David Havili's been sidelined indefinitely for one of the weirder injuries, having gone in for emergency surgery to remove "a foreign object" from his stomach.

I actually thought Perofeta has done okay at full back the last couple of games. Not a standout but decent.cashead wrote:Who'd have guessed that if you keep selecting a decent 10 at 10, and put a guy who's not suited to 10 at 15 where he spends most of his time anyway, they actually do much better?

Re: Sup, er, Rugby? 2020 thread
Duffie has been pretty flat on attack for the last few seasons and, more importantly, lacks the play making abilities of a fullback in the dual play-maker system. Perofeta obviously needs to work on his catching, but definitely fits into the dual play-maker system.
As it is, Barrett should be the fullback soon, so it's all somewhat moot.

You could send that boy to Wuhan and he'll come back unscathed because he couldn't catch a cold.Cameo wrote:I actually thought Perofeta has done okay at full back the last couple of games.
