China v India. Who ya got?

Post by Donny osmond »

As India tells the world that 20 soldiers were killed in a border skirmish with Chinese soldiers that didn't involve any shooting and the men were beaten to death with rocks and metal pipes, I thank the Good Lord that I am too old for national service and hope that WW3 is over before my girls are old enough to be called up.

I think India will win.

India is the Twenty20 capital, you can be sure there were
similar casualties on t'other side if these were regulars..
China won't own up to any embarassing losses;
just depends on how many fronts they want to start argy-bargy whilst the rest of the world is on the back foot.

China every day of the week.
Anyone who has experienced Indian bureaucracy will not be confident that the Indians could arrange to have both weapons and ammunition at the same place at the same time, and certainly not until at least 3 months after the battle is over.

Unless it's against muslims.

So should be pretty easy for China considering their treatment of muslims, too...

China.

However that’s bad terrain to fight over so it could follow previous conflicts where there’s some shelling and border activity but that’s about it.

Or it could go nuclear.

Happy thoughts. China is definitely throwing its weight about.

I’ve seen, at first hand, Chinese seismic crews working in similar terrain in the Qinghai and Tarim Basins, in Winter. If their soldiers are half as nails as their seismic crews, it will all be over before Xi Jinping gets all his launch code ducks in a row.

I have no idea. Pushback within each nation I couldn't guess at, not the size nor the ferocity, what sides other nations might take I wouldn't like to guess at, or even what attacks other nations might make, what strength of feeling exists within the leaderships isn't certain...

No, I told them Morepork would destroy them with a cutting one-liner.

And whilst we consider this scenario, North Korea is also ratcheting up the tensions.

Interesting times.
