Re: Trump
May I ask where the targeting of Sandy is coming from?
I read his posts yesterday and I did not read denial of what happened or dismissing other posters or their posts. Did I miss something?

Re: Trump
Saying shit like "oh, but we don't know what their intentions really were" is a pretty clear downplaying of it. But then again, what else do you expect from a bootlicker like him?gransoporro wrote:May I ask where the targeting of Sandy is coming from?

I mean, he is the guy who got pissy at me because I didn't play nice with a racist.

Re: Trump
Sandy was specifically responding to me saying I thought they'd take people off the bus and beat them if they'd managed to stop the bus. It wasn't saying "oh, but we don't know what their intentions really were," it was saying, "We don't know if they would've escalated to dragging people off the bus to beat them." Whether you agree or disagree with them, I was posing a hypothetical and they were perfectly entitled to disagree.cashead wrote:Saying shit like "oh, but we don't know what their intentions really were" is a pretty clear downplaying of it. I agree with you on a *lot* of things. Please stop being an aggressive dick about them.

You were given a warning for your own behaviour. I’m getting bored of you throwing insults about when people don’t agree with you.

How about not both sides-ing shit to the point of cowardice that you expect people to play nice with open bigots, then? That would be a nice change of pace.Sandydragon wrote:Enough Cashead.cashead wrote:Saying shit like "oh, but we don't know what their intentions really were" is a pretty clear downplaying of it. Don’t abuse other posters. That’s the basic rule. If you act like a cunt then don’t cry when you get banned. Can’t put it much simpler to be fair.Mikey Brown wrote:We can say what we want in here, right? Please don’t ban me.

It was so much easier to blame Them. It was bleakly depressing to think They were Us. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.

back on the election it's bloody fortunate the weather is playing ball with long queues across the states, today could've gone much, much worse in an election that was built for months in advance to suppress votes

Re: Trump
Far too early for anyone to be making that kind of prediction based on anything more than guesswork. Interesting stat on Florida from Nate Silver:Digby wrote:Nobody seems to think Florida has gone blue, which is a shame as that would be goodnight Irene early doors
PujaIt looks as though Republicans will wind up with around a net +2 percent on [voters based on] party registration in Florida. That’s not terrible for them, and they reversed a slight Democratic disadvantage based on early and absentee voting. But it’s also not great. Based on the partisan splits in recent polls of Florida, I estimated that — because Biden is doing better among independents in most polls of the state and gets somewhat more crossover voters — the breakeven point for a Trump win was about R +3.5 in Florida. That is, if Republicans led in turnout by 3.5 points or more, Trump would be the favorite to win; otherwise Biden would be. We’ll probably end up just to the Biden side of the line. With that said, there’s a lot of uncertainty. Some polls in Florida showed Biden with big leaders among independents in Florida, while in others he was running evenly with Trump.

Re: Trump
Anyone else a bit nervous at the moment. It feels much tighter than the polls suggested (sounds familiar).
