Mitre 10 Cup
Pretty cool seeing all the ABs and ex ABs scattered throughout the teams. Super Rigby Aotearoa was awesome, but there's something special about this next tier down.

Don't expect to see them for too long. The Wallabies are expected to fly over for a two-test Bledisloe series to be played in NZ, so I'm expecting Foz to pull them from their provincial teams to begin training.

Re: Mitre 10 Cup
I take it it's not feasible to have a permanent structure of Mitre10 with all players available (at least for most of it) followed by Super Rugby Aotearoa?
If it was, would that be good enough to develop players? With the number of good players in NZ at the moment it would seem like it but I suspect that money is the problem. Perhaps more feasible if SR Aotearoa was followed by some sort of club world champs.

Re: Mitre 10 Cup
In a non-COVIDised year, no.
The All Blacks as a team will always be the main priority in New Zealand rugby.
The first step is to reduce the amount of fixtures in Super Rugby. The endless pile-on as more and more teams were included, with increasingly insane travel demands wasn't helping.
Also, the Club World Champs will always be a pipe dream unless the international calendar is significantly restructured. The only problem is that what's been proposed as an alternative is little more than a bucket of solid, condensed fuck.

Loving the mitre 10 so far, cheating Makos aside. With the current roster, better than super rugby for me.

Good win. Some dynamos at key pivot positions for the Bay.
