Yeah, on replay our 9, 10, wing and centre were in there. Top defence.

In fairness he has given away 2 stupid penalties in the first 6 minutes of 2nd half

It was so much easier to blame Them. It was bleakly depressing to think They were Us. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.

That one under the posts wasn't a bad one to give away.

That English try has been coming for far too long. We're trying to play rope a dope and it's the wrong game plan.

Ref was honking (clear squint through before England try and probably 2 penalties to 1 penalty at that last scrums being two obvious areas), game wasn't great but Scotland would normally lose those.

Fagerson Jnr probably had his best game in Blue.

Graham was my MOTM, 3 big key interventions.

Well that was a stolen result, but I'll take it.

Russell was motm for me. Didn't have a lot to work with but did it all well and managed us well. Graham also great I think and Faegerson had his best game in a Scotland shirt. We'll need more possession to win other games, but I don't expect big changes for next week.

Darge to start at 6 if Ritchie is crocked?

I thought that but Richie is a good line out option so maybe Bradbury to start and Darge to bench.

That was great. Not the perfect performance and game could have gone either way but we stayed pretty composed, adapted reasonably well to the ref, stuck to our tactics and got over the line.

On another day we should get, and will need, a lot more ball, and then we'll show a lot more of our attacking game. Hard to judge some of the starters whose only chance was in defence. Same standouts as you lot have picked out, though I'd also give some credit to DVDM - looked dangerous as usual ball in hand while also looking solid in defence.

Some big turning points in that game. A massive one was Hogg's flick and recovery near our line. If that goes out it's a five metre England lineout. He almost regretted it, but ultimately he really saved us there.

I thought O'Keefe was okay. A fair few decisions I disagreed with (Darcy potentially off his feet at the end there, Stuart off his feet for his crucial penalty, Darcy/Gilchrist could have got away with an accidental offside, Gray harshly done for touching Young's when Young's wasn't near it) but none outrageous. He potentially bottled that last scrum but pens could have gone either way and no one would have been satisfied.

Also, in all the tension over the penalty try, we shouldn't forget how good the two cross kicks from Russell to set it up were.
