Hart made far too many mistakes. 3 very soft goals conceded. There's no way he deserves to keep goal in our next matches.
Sterling was probably our worst outfield player on the whole. Too many lost balls by trying to get past too many players....come to think of it, he lost the ball a number of times when up against no-one! Poor control.
Rooney. Well that should answer some questions about where he is best used for England. Not at all. Nowhere near one of our best strikers and he just isn't a playmaker. Can't fault his work rate in many games but a lot of it is just pointless. Let the defence supply the ball to midfield. That should be his last game.
Kane was anonymous at times and dreadful at other times. Certainly nowhere near his form for his club.
Alli was another player incapable of bringing their fine club form to this stage. Just ineffective at times.
Wilshere really shouldn't have been in France considering how little he has played. Short of fitness and ideas tonight.
Full backs very mixed. Seemed bright going forwards at times, especially Walker but their main job is defending and yet again, our defence was found wanting when it mattered. Germany would've put 4 past us tonight.
Vardy worked hard but really should've done better with a couple of chances when he has played.
Sturridge certainly isn't a winger and again, short of fitness. Should not have started tonight.

Lallana was probably our best player in the tournament. I can't work out why he was dropped for this match?
Dier generally solid but guilty of some very poor deliveries into the box...but so were most other players.
Barkley gets a 10 from me. Why, why, why didn't he feature for a single minute?!?

It's tough. There are always upsets in football - it's not tactics, it's just unfortunate. We know we're a good team.

Fucking deluded twat. Iceland were the better team and they won....they could've won by more too!

??? I saw no difference in the style of play and tactics in any of our 4 matches.

I have been left with no other opinion except that this team was coached to play in the exact way they played. It didn't seem to matter who was on the field, the performance in the matches was identical. Boring, unimaginative and slow!

I like Hoddle, he was a superb player and he's a decent enough pundit but he hasn't coached a senior team (full time) for 10 years and his only senior level international coaching experience ended 15 years ago! Plus he'd always be living under the shadow of the faith healer crap.

Lets wait till the Euros is over as I'm sure there will be some coaches available then. Weigh up the options and select the best candidate to work with these players. We need someone capable of getting these players playing at the tempo we see week in, week out and improve their decision making. For all the pace we have in the squad, we seem to play the most pedestrian football in the entire tournament.

So, Southgate to possibly see over the first 2018 world cup qualifying matches against the mights of Slovakia (well, they are mighty for England), Malta, Slovenia and Scotland.

Decent chance of 3+ wins there so no doubt the FA will offer Southgate the job, £1m a year so they've already saved some serious dough for the office christmas party and the end of year bonuses!

Personally, I think it's a great job for the right person.

The right coach can make an instant impact with the same group of players who struggled previously. We only have to look at England rugby for the proof of that. Wales rugby and football, Cheika's Australia has some initial success too and I'm sure there are lots of other examples.

I think quite a few of the England players at the 2016 Euros will go on to receive many caps, but hopefully under the right direction where they know what they're doing. Where the coach selects the players for their strengths and plays them in their correct positions and they do their job. It's the basics for any sporting team.

With the money the FA paid Woy, I'd be amazed if there wasn't some proven coaches putting their name into the hat come the end of the Euros.
