Barnes very hot on rolling away at the breakdown early. May hurt Lenister more over the course of the game. Good finish for that try.

Great off load for the try. Rooting for La Rochelle based solely on where I’ve had some good hols.

Sexton seems to have been studying Farrell's tackling technique. Struggling to get into this for some reason.
Can La Rochelle use Dante at Sexton as a decoy occasionally please?

Re: Leinster vs La Rochelle
To many errors from La Rochelle, Leinster are just picking off the penalties. Barnes isn't giving the benefit of the dominant scrum and is looking for the ball to get out and into play which isn't helping La Rochelle slow the game down.
I wonder how many more times Sexton is going to go high on Danty before he makes contact with the head. Needs to be careful.

Well that was a moronic yellow card.

The trip was kind of hilarious but utterly ridiculous. La Rochelle look out on their feet already

I know ROG was a ‘forwards’ flyhalf’ but that’s some serious Stockholm syndrome. It didn’t go past the first forward for 10 whole mins.

Botia was in there playing as a 9th forward, he's got the physicality for it though.Mellsblue wrote:I know ROG was a ‘forwards’ flyhalf’ but that’s some serious Stockholm syndrome. It didn’t go past the first forward for 10 whole mins.
Three tries to nil. Good game, worthy winners. Leinster looked a bit under cooked in the second half, for all the talk of the La Rochelle forwards tiring they seemed to keep the intensity better than the boys in blue.

Good win for LaRochelle. Fully deserved. 3-0 on tries. This will significantly raise O'Gara's coaching profile.

Great game I thought. Always nice to see the best 2 in the final and well done to the best 2 coaches in the NH for getting them there and letting them play. Please don’t anyone put Lancaster back in a manager role. Stupid yellow card almost spoiled it but not quite. He should still be ashamed though, what was he thinking? Don’t know how Leinster didn’t get a card at the end though.

Having a rewatch and "LET GO OF HIS HAT" at 9m 10s might be my favourite soundbite of the season

I wonder how far back we have to go when Leinster were done 3-0 on tries?Spiffy wrote:Good win for LaRochelle. Fully deserved. 3-0 on tries. This will significantly raise O'Gara's coaching profile.
