Gloucester v Saracens

Post by fivepointer »

Gloucester: Carreras; Rees-Zammit, Harris, Kveseladze, Thorley; Hastings, Meehan; Rapava-Ruskin, Singleton, Gotovtsev, Clarke, Alemanno, Reid, Ludlow (capt), Ackermann

Replacements: Socino, Elrington, Balmain, Davidson, Clement, Chapman, Twelvetrees, May.

Saracens: Obatoyinbo; Malins, Lozowski, Taylor, Harris; Manu Vunipola, van Zyl; Mawi, Pifeleti, Clarey, Hunter-Hill, Swinson, Wray (capt), Knight, Venter

Replacements: Dan, Adams-Hale, Wainwright, Boon, Reffell, de Haas, Morris, Hallett

Saracens resting a load and giving Glos a very good chance of getting a win.

Good to see Jonny on the bench. Never bodes well starting Meehan but a victory for the taking there if we can get our shizzle together. No Sarries team is easy, but that’s not the first xv at all.

It’s a long way from a first XV. A win for Gloucester should be there for the taking and definitely puts the pressure on Saints.

Score line is pretty one sided in this too. At least Saints play some lively rugby.

Why not a red card? Only half watching.

Did so in time to see Northampton score to go over 40 while the falcons lock gets himself red carded paving his own winger....

Glos did what they needed to do but a 2nd string Saracens side didnt pose the stiffest of challenges.

Glos finish in 5th, which is a very creditable effort. Skivington has done a terrific job.

Happy with that, you can only play what’s in front of you and there were some cracking tries scored. Onwards and upwards.
