It's like watching Bath play - which is about the harshest criticism I can think of.

So, anyone going to play for England again. Sounds shambolic from professionals.

If the Barbarians had started off with their closing pair of half backs, that would have been an even more embarrasing rout.

Any point swapping Borthwick in for Jones prior to the World Cup?

He should have gone after the 6N. I'd be up for anyone coming in to replace him.Mellsblue wrote:Any point swapping Borthwick in for Jones prior to the World Cup?

"Made a mockery of England today" Flatman just now. He's right. England were abject.
That was a humiliation. An utter thrashing by a scratch side, reduced to 14 men for 50 minutes, on our home patch.

I know I'm very bias, but I just can't see what single area of the game Randall is better than Mitchell at

Re: England v Barbarians June 19th 2022
breakdown, decision making, basic skills even set piece all really poor. Against 14.
so much for strength in depth.
and it may just be me, but Jonny Hill getting commisery high 5's after dropping the ball over the ball was irritating.

Its a thankless task after a performance like that but this was an experienced England side. It wasnt a bunch of young lads. There was caps aplenty throughout the side and even on the bench.Banquo wrote:we've got a lot of learnings...lot of young lads.....new combos.....full 80. I thought Freeman and Chick (who was subbed early, natch) were among our better players and they arent exactly 50 cap veterans.
we were so poor in so many areas that you have to look at how this team have been prepared over the last few weeks.
