Wow.
Wales would've put England out of our misery in the group stage playing like this.
Superb chance for the final too!!

Re: Euro's
I've been a little critical of the hype surrounding Wales, especially from Bale but the proof is in the pudding.
Stunning and you would have to make them favourites against Portugal after that kind of display.
They are right not to fear anyone and I think they are more than capable of giving the Germans or Italians a run for their money. Not sure about Iceland though

Ramsey will be missed. Very harsh yellow imo, especially as it takes a Euro semi from him.WaspInWales wrote:I've been a little critical of the hype surrounding Wales, especially from Bale but the proof is in the pudding.

Re: Euro's
They certainly deserve to be higher than Belgium after comprehensively beating them but I think it may only put them 7th or 8th. Not 100% sure though...going by the FIFA prognosis tool and their ranking system is a bit daft anyway.bruce wrote:We must be No 1 in the world now surely!

Re: Euro's
I backed Wales too (see earlier this thread)
I'd only seen Belgium play Italy prior to this and thought they looked a bit defensively frail even then.
So can I tell my joke again?
A Welshman walks into a bar.
There's usually an Englishman, and Irishman and a Scotsman in these jokes, but the Welshman was at the Euros

If they're good enough to play at World Cups, why not in between?

You really didn't need to explain it....rowan wrote:I backed Wales too (see earlier this thread)I'd only seen Belgium play Italy prior to this and thought they looked a bit defensively frail even then.

Anyway I'm feckin made up, sitting here with my whisky baby sitting the kids. God knows how they haven't woken up with screaming like an idiot.

Re: Euro's
Lay off the whisky, Bruce. You're starting to quote yourself
Anyway, since I'm the football sage
I'm sorry to tell you Wales won't get past Portugal. It's not that Ronaldo's boys are playing great football or anything, but they're a much more wily team than Belgium and will find a way to deal with Wales, even if it comes to another penalty shootout

Re: Euro's
If Wales sit back like they did against England, they will have problems but we've seen that Wales are more than capable keeping hold of the ball and creating chances. If they do that, they'll beat Portugal in normal time.
