Is Isiekwe still on tour? Presumably, if so, he is the last unused lock still standing?

Underhill also in concussion protocol which, given his history, should/could mean the end of his tour. It’s been an attritional one.

Let's hope Willis' injury was just a sore rib rather than a cracked one.

Can’t we just stick spare Curry in on the off chance he takes to international rugby like Tom did?

Okay, I admit that I was wrong when I said we didn't need to call a replacement back row over.

Ludlam will start but if Willis doesnt make it seems likely Sam Jeffries gets a spot on the bench.

Chessum will start at lock with Isiekwe covering from the bench.

He's probably shouting, screaming and jumping up and down with a wild-eyed look right now.

So that means;

Genge, George, Stuart
Chessum, Hill
Lawes, Vunipola, Ludlam

Bench - LCD, Vunipola, Heyes, Isiekwe, Willis

If Willis isn't fit then Jeffries to come in.

He was qualified, but I believe considered himself Welsh. There was a rumour of Eddie having a poach while he was being ignored by Wales, but it never came to anything - whether because he turned us down or there was never anything in the rumour, I don't know.

I think I'd rather have two locks on the bench than Jeffries. He's a good, honest trier, but he's not going to be any better than having Chessum step in at back row. Gods help us all if Ludlam gets injured first minute.

The image of an enraged Earl jumping up and down and shouting at the top of his voice is one I cant shake. And i've tried.

If JEffries come on to the bench I for one will raise a cheer. He was a guy who had given up due to injury, fought his way back and played impressively in a misfiring team last season. Obviously Ted Hill should be there, but Jeffries is no mug.

Did anyone else hear the commentator say Jeff Reece when Jeffries first broke in to the Bristol side and now can’t shake that even when reading his name?

Oh, it’s just me then.

I think Eddie had the conversation with him but Reffell only ever qualified on residency. Born and raised in Wales, came to school in England and got picked up by Tigers. He captained Wales at age grade level, proud Welshman. I just hope Tigers have a contract in place that keeps him at WR for a good few years yet.

Saw Shane Williams has been bigging him up in his column, there is a hint in there he's disappointed to see Reffell come through at Leicester.

Would be great if he can get on the pitch and, if plays as he can, he might surprise a few people.

The Guardian wrote:"Lewis Ludlam would be the most likely to fill the void at openside and in better news for Jones Jack Willis is available for selection, having been ruled out of the second Test with a rib injury. Initial fears were that Willis was a doubt for the Sydney match but the latest prognosis is more positive."
The writer needs to learn how to use commas effectively, but otherwise conveying good news. If Willis is properly fit, I'd start him - would love to see him versus Hooper.

Would you be making similar comments about Ludlum if he was at home and Earl was in the squad? I don't think I would but are we just debating who is 7th and who is 8th (or whatever) in the back-row pecking order?

A] you can be KOd without being concussed.
B] I don't think he was KOd, he kept muscle tone firing in his arms at all points.

C] He absolutely should be out of the rest of the tour, and not risked - Underhill too. Nothing really to be gained by either of them playing, potentially an awful lot to be lost.
