RIP Eddie Butler
Just announced on Wales Online that Eddie Butler has passed away in Peru whilst supporting Prostate Cymru. Eddie was 65.
This is a bit of a shock and I confess to not realising that he was ill (if indeed he even was). But as one of the voices of rugby over the past years he will be missed.
RIP Eddie and condolences to his family.

Devastating. This is a bigger loss for me than Elizabeth Windsor. Only comparing due to the close proximity in time between the two losses.
Did he die of an illness, or due to altitude sickness while hiking the Inca Trail? It's not entirely clear.

Well ****
Not my cup of tea as a commentator, but there's no denying that his voice had become synonymous with the 6N

I was googling the same last night and theres no details. I did wonder that as he was an ambassador for Prostate Cymru that perhaps he had cancer but no indication of that. As you say, the Inca Trail is pretty damn high and it can put stress on the heart, or perhaps it was just his time.Zhivago wrote:Devastating. This is a bigger loss for me than Elizabeth Windsor. You'd think it would be a heart attack or stroke given the circumstances.Sandydragon wrote:I was googling the same last night and theres no details. Yes, a big turning point, marked by words flavoured with a little disbelief at what was happening!Sandydragon wrote:Oh England what have you done. Wales what are you doing?Which Tyler wrote:Well ****
