Cardiff team to play Glasgow

Post by UKHamlet »

Cardiff: Matthew Morgan; Aled Summerhill, Mason Grady, Max Llewellyn, Josh Adams; Jarrod Evans, Tomos Williams; Rhys Carré, Kristian Dacey, Dillon Lewis, Josh Turnbull (capt.), Seb Davies, James Botham, Thomas Young, James Ratti.

Replacements : Liam Belcher, Brad Thyer, Keiron Assiratti, Matthew Screech, Lopeti Timani, Lloyd Williams, Rhys Priestland, Uilisi Halaholo.

Looks quite strong although rested Faletau and crocked Williams will obviously weaken the starting side.

Good news for Ratti. Always the risk that with Faletau arriving he would struggle for game time.

I thought they were going to be playing Adams at 15?

I’m going along to Scotstoun tonight. Hopefully I will not be seeing what usually happens when Cardiff play here!

Glasgow pack looks useful. Good luck Cardiff, you will need it.

Hope the centre partnership goes well

On the evidence of the first half we’re going to get a hiding!

Spoiler alert

They’ll be putting it on post watershed if it carries on like the last 20 of the first half

Blimey. Bit painful that, Glasgow just piling through at times. Well played to them.

Was just thinking that Priestland was a safer bet than Evans prior to the charge down

So to be clear, you’re getting the blame for this one :)

It was horrendous! Even worse being surrounded by so many Glasgow supporters. But I’m not taking the blame. That belongs squarely with the players and the coaching staff. Clueless and gutless the lot of them.

Cardiff need to splash a bit of cash if they're going to rotate the squad. Bigger pack and a fearsome, ball carrying number 8.

Same for the Scarlets this afternoon. You could see that Ulster fancied their chances at close quarters throughout. As with last night they attacked right on half time and it paid off

Early signs suggest a season of SameOldSameOld awaits.

Cardiff concede 50. Scarlets score 39 points without ever looking like winning. Off to the White Rock later with more foreboding than excitement, as the Ospreys era of actually fielding a 1st-choice XXIII comes to an end after one week.
