Good stuff this. Leicester giving the overlap obligingly and Northampton turn on the style.

Saints are playing really clever. They are aiming for the wide defensive organiser, normally the 13 or backrow and then wrapping the attackers round the breakdown a lot quicker than Tigers defence. There's normally a forward coming round the corner slower that the quick Saints attack can then pick off.

Saints support lines are outstanding.

Biggar whining about that tackle but that's brilliantly timed and technically very good. Cuts him in half just as he's releasing the ball.

Yeah not often he gets bounced despite his size. Bet he's loving this game so far
Tbf, two bumps were from Nadolo. Porter has let Furbank past twice, once for the first try. Pick your poison, I suppose.

Great cover tackle by Biggar. Tigers finally fire a shot and open Saints up but needed someone a bit quicker than Gopperth.

His antics after that tackle were pathetic, bleating at the ref who told him repeatedly that TMO had checked and it was a legal tackle. Maybe he should spend less time rolling around like a footballer.

Dickson with no warning and then no penalty as Saints scrum goes down under pressure again.

And now a use it call on and advancing scrum. That's a ridiculous call from Dickson. He's helping Saints front row out there.

Nadolo is just ridiculous isn't he. Tigers will miss him significantly after Christmas

Finally Tigers turn the mounting pressure into points. Attack has looked a bit iffy (particularly compared to Saints fireworks) but when we finally go through some phases it's starting to show something.

Liebenburg asking about the number of penalties in the Saints 22 but Dickson says "not many" it feels like they must be close to 10 pens conceded in total and half in the Saints 22.

Yes, there's no like for like replacement for that kind of carrying presence. We're going to need to come up with something else in attack as so far this game we've looked pretty one dimensional. I do wonder whether Wigglesworth and Smith have the experience or innovation within them to do it.

For sure. Imagine replicating that first half but with any normal human sized winger in his place. He gives pretty much 100% chance of getting over the gainline, and most of the time is taking out 3 players whilst doing so.

We are badly missing Dan Kelly at 12. The combined go forward of him and Porter does mean less reliance on the big man but at the minute with the attack looking a bit lacklustre Nadolo is the best get out of jail card. You're right if it was Ashton on the wing instead we'd have struggled in that half. We do have Murimurivalu and Saumaki as well but they don't make as many impacts as Nemani does.

Oh Jimmy Gopperth, really showing why we're missing Kelly. Eyes turned in and misses the player on his outside who gets to just walk past him.

Forward to Nadolo surely? Same as the Freeman pass at the start - pass released before the line between light and dark grass and gathered after

And then Tigers play some rugby and score a try of their own. All comes from Saints scrum getting mullered again.

That's as optimistic as Cole's call for a forward pass to Coles.

Watch it again and see where it's released Vs where it's caught
