Daly has been absolute class in this match.
he is a class player. Should have been englands wing the last 6 years
Any reason you feel he can’t play that same way on the wing for England?
Equally, is he now a more trusted fullback at that level? Looked class today, just can’t recall him being tested in many of the more traditional ways - areas that Steward generally excels.
Feels as though he’s more settled as a club level fullback now, but I agree I don’t know why he ever got moved from wing. Presumably fullback is now a preference or the position he feels he can best get himself in the international shop window?
Tigers never really tested him in the air which was a surprise. Our kicking was poor today. With Watson and Steward I’m amazed we didn’t really test their back three.

He did play like that on the wing for England imo. He wasn’t very good at 15, at that level positionally not good enough and poor kick receiver.

Not sure what Is the issue with Earl. I thought he was bloody brilliant. He, Billy and MacFarland is a sensational backrow! Felt for Refell. He had a few breakdowns that he can feel hard done by.
Sarries we’re excellent. Daly sensational!
From a Tiger’s perspective. I was pleased with Coka. He’s going to get better and better with regular game time. Martin made an impact.
He was stupid with that push for the non try and didn’t react well in the first 30 at the breakdown in both attack and defence. Conceded 3 pens and one turnover- and they weren`t on the edge pens...just dumb play; tbh Sarries daft pens were what kept Tigers kinda in the game til 50, and he was a part of it. Good after 50. He is a talent so just a bit frustrated with the daft stuff, and going awol when presence at the breakown needed. His highlights reel is briliant.
Reffel generally pushes the edge of the gate, win some lose some. Coka just needs to adapt to physical defences, and Tigers wide defence needs sorting asap
Yeah agree guys. Banquo, Tigers are not aligning well particularly when it comes to getting players round the corner so are often light in the outside channels. Not using the scrum half in the traditional sweeper role means there's no one tracking across as emergency cover either. Something that needs to be fixed and fixed fast.
Mells, that was very frustrating. Pollard clearly wanted to play and did his best to inspire the side but Tigers attacking game plan is unimaginative and the support lines akin to something from twenty years ago. Wigglesworth should be feeling the pressure as his tenure as backs/attack coach hasn't really shown the same transformation as the rest of the side. Certainly didn't help having a centre combination that had never started a game together before either. Gopperth looked tired and didn't offer a carrying threat to hold Tompkins which meant the Sarries centres were always free to go hunting wider and often double team Cokanasiga whenever he got it.
A lot to work on for Borthwick and his team.
Sarries though were bloody impressive. Defence is starting to look sharp again but the attack is as exciting as anything Saints and Quins are doing. That's a real achievement, their attack coach deserves a lot of plaudits. Owen Farrell also looks a different player to anything we've seen for some time as well, good news for England.
