Maybe they are on this board.

If so then I think the Ukrainians will advance towards Moscow at full strength. Russia should urgently reinforce the area between Smolensk and Ryazan will all available forces.
I hear that Georgia are getting punchy again as well; and eyeing up Krasnodar, and even up to Kerch.

Azerbaijan on the other hand, just want the Northern slopes and foothill of the Caucasus.

Today's critical threat update:

https://www.criticalthreats.org/analysi ... -october-5

Russia has failed to slow down UKR advance in east and now the ground adjacent to Luhansk is very suitable for mobile warfare which will favour UKR forces. Russia being forces to choose which offensive to focus on and screwing up the response to both. Neither offensive looks like its losing too much steam at the moment.

Ramzan Kadyrov is now a Colonel General in the Russian army. I'm sure we will all extend our warmest congratulations and hope he gets that battlefield command soon. Somewhere in the range of UKR artillery or drones would be preferable.

Internal dissent is growing. Putin is blaming the Russian MOD now and is likely to start firing more generals (or pushing them out of windows).

Milblogger editors have been detained for being too critical.

Meanwhile the Russians are trying their own offensive in the Donetsk Oblast. Bit hard to tell how well its doing at the moment, but if the Luhansk region collapses totally then some of those soldiers will be looking to the north east with concern.

I read something about Georgia looking to regain South Ossetia and Abkhazia. Very unsure about how I feel about that as many Abkhazians don't want to be ruled by Russia or Georgia.

Because things aren't grim enough for Russian conscripts, they're expected to provide their own gear - most of which will probably be taken away from them because the Russian military is corrupt as fuck.

Backpack 60 litre
Backpack 18 litre
Sleeping bag
Foam mat
Tactical vest
'Gorka' suit or camouflage clothing
Boots
Thermal underwear
'Verto' waterproof suit or poncho
Socks
Briefs
Penknife or multitool
Flashlight
Spare batteries
Powerbank
Chargers
Push-button phone (clean, no contacts stored)
Food set for a day
Mug, metal spoon
Miniature gas burner for cooking food
Lighter
Washing accessories
Slippers
Armoured helmet (ATLAS , OMNITEC, 6647)Bulletproof vest or plate carrier (with plates of protection class 4-5)
Medical kit: 2 tourniquets, 2 IPP (or bandages), sterile wipes, scissors, marker, iodine, brilliant green, chlorhexidine, sodium sulphacil (eye drops), baby powder, roll-on bandage, pills (individually
Thread, needles
Adhesive tape

There are apparently now predatory loan companies targeting conscripts. If their son ends up fertilising the Ukrainian fields after being turned into red mist, it puts his family on the hook.

Of course, there are reports of people swept up off the streets and pressganged into fighting in Ukraine within a few days. God only knows where they'd have the time to get a predatory loan to cobble together the gear they're required to have.

I do remember British troops buying their own kit on the eve of the Iraq invasion because that which was supplied was inadequate. We were nicknamed the ‘borrowers’ by the Americans as we would buy anything from them in exchange for our ration packs.

But the scale of Russian disinterest in the effectiveness of these conscripts is on another level.

Probably not. If Russia takes the sensible option of incorporating the new recruits into batter formations and blending veterans with new blood then they have some hope. But if badly kitted out then they will just be a liability for the other soldiers alongside them. This will probably end badly for the conscripts.

Good to see that Turkey is understanding that it can only play both sides so far.

I'm actually quite surprised Turkey turned them down - would've thought winter clothes would've been considered fairly innocuous as far as profiting from war goes. Fairly firm statement about how hard Russia have pissed off even neutral nations with this referendum bullshit.

Turkey have been pushing the boundaries of being a Nato member and taking the piss for years. I suspect someone in the US State Department has made it very clear to stop buggering about and toe the party line.

A Ukrainian drone made its way to the rear airfield of the Russians near Kaluga and destroyed two TU 22M3s there . These planes bombarded Ukraine from the territory of Belarus and were based at the Shaikovka airfield.

Post by Zhivago »

On the occasion of Putin's 72nd/70th birthday I bring you rumour.
Russian President Vladimir Putin turns 72 today. According to official information, Putin's anniversary is 70 years old, but the official version of Putin's biography is a lie, at least the part that contains scarce information until Volodya was 7 (9) years old. Those parents who are officially considered his father and mother are in fact not his genetic parents, but only have an indirect relationship with Vladimir Putin.

The family, relatives, several people from the inner circle and childhood friends know the real story of the origin and childhood of the current president of Russia. Vladimir Putin's mother gave birth to him from a married man who was in no hurry to recognize his son, and the woman had to look for a new husband and father for her child. Putin recalls several men that his own mother had when he was little, and as a result, he remembers life in Georgia well, when his mother had a permanent man who forced Vladimir to call him dad.

The three of them lived in the same room and the new "dad" often and severely beat the young Putin and finally forced Vladimir's mother to get rid of her son. Putin, according to him, does not remember very well, and apparently does not know exactly how the relatives who adopted him decided to take him to them, but he says that after Georgia he lived for a short time with some people, like also his relatives.

After adoption by those people who, according to official information, are the parents of Vladimir Putin, it turned out that he not only lags behind his peers in physical development, but also the level of his knowledge and skills does not correspond to the level of his peers, then it was decided to “reduce” his age in the adoption papers by two years. The new family did not receive Vladimir in the most cordial way.

Recalling his childhood, already in the Putin family, he says in plain text that he did not love his adoptive mother and father, although he speaks of them not badly. He remembers his foster mother with gratitude, and talks about his foster father mainly as a monster who regularly beat him and sometimes his foster mother. Obviously, the constant mental and physical influence of "foreign" men in childhood affected the formation of his personality.

In a new family, he grew up as a quiet, persecuted child, who was often beaten and bullied by older guys. Sport has become an outlet for Putin and, in a way, salvation. Visits to the section helped Vladimir make friends, who began to protect him, and then he realized “if you can’t protect yourself, you need to find someone who will protect you.”

This is how the dream of first becoming a policeman appeared, and then the realization came that even the police were afraid of the KGB. It was the work in the KGB that became a fixed idea for Putin. The powerful KGB was supposed to protect him from a hostile world and make him part of a system that no one would encroach on.

But even work in the KGB did not relieve Putin of constant psychological pressure, he talks with undisguised hatred about his superiors, who “humiliated” him, laughed and mocked him, making him feel like an idiot. According to the memoirs of his boss for work in Dresden, whom, by the way, Putin, having received absolute power, ordered to liquidate, and when he realized that this could not be done easily, he simply deprived him of his pension. So here it is according to the recollections of his former boss, Putin could not even write a report normally and asked his colleagues to do it for him, paying with a bottle of alcohol, and when he came with a report to his superiors, he was so embarrassed that he could not answer simple questions.

However, few people know, but Putin was almost expelled from the KGB several times. So, the ex-girlfriend with whom Putin had a relationship and was going to marry, after a break in relations, wrote a statement to the KGB against him, in which she indicated that she allegedly witnessed Vladimir's homosexual relationship. After the proceedings, the KGB decided that this was the revenge of an abandoned woman who slandered her ex. But there is evidence from other people that point to Putin's bisexuality. Women with whom Putin had relationships talk about the president's masochistic deviations. Intimately, he likes to be subordinate to powerful women with a strong athletic figure. Loves golden rain.

It is worth remembering Putin's fascination with the personas of Stalin and Hitler and frank admiration for the Nazi way of life, attributes and symbols of the Third Reich, which we talked about on our YouTube channel, long before the start of the war.

You have to understand: everything that Russian President Vladimir Putin is now is a deceitful, miserable creature with a disturbed psyche, absolute power, captivated by idiotic ideas about the world order, offended by the whole world, sick with oncology with no chance of a cure, ready to take away from the whole world. He is 72 today, probably the last year of his life, he cannot be allowed to nullify civilization.

They already have a new identity on Wiki :| ..
The Crimean Bridge.., also called Kerch Strait Bridge or Kerch Bridge, is a pair of now partly destroyed parallel bridges, one road, one rail, spanning the Kerch Strait

So rail supply lines cut off in the Crimean direction. I guess Ukraine will be launching their attack on Tokmak very soon to cut off the rail from Rostov direction.

I think we can look forward to a very interesting few weeks.

There’s at least one very lucky driver on the left hands side of that video accelerating away from the explosion! I’m assuming they needed the services of a launderette shortly afterwards.

Nice big bang, it will be interesting to see how much damage has been caused and how long it takes the Russians to repair it.
