2 on the trot for the Dragons

Post by Sandydragon »

Stop the season! We’ve managed to win two games on the bounce which is a minor miracle. Yea it was Zebre but we won well which is refreshing. Normally we might bumble to a slight win and everyone feels a bit underwhelmed, but this was a very solid win.

A handsome win, too. OK, the opposition was Zebre but the Dragons were missing a lot of their best players. I only watched the first 20 minutes of each half (as I was switching with the Scotland match) and saw the tries for Rhodri Williams, Hughes and the second try for Richards. Hope he didn’t get injured after a 2 try debut

The Dragons are playing some rugby post Richards. They aren’t always accurate but it’s nice to see. Good luck to them.

Keddie always impresses me when I see him. Carries the ball well, and plays across the back row. I know there's a glut of back row players for Wales but given the store pivac puts in versatility i'm surprised he hasn't been in the mix.

Great to see them totally dominating. Hope they keep it up (even if I didn't enjoy their win last week :( ).

Puzzles me too. Since we need to get over the gainline then he would seem to be an ideal squad member for me.

I'd say the other two backrowers were better for the Dragons so he's not really knocking on the door, who would you drop for him?

The best bit for me was the Dragons played entertaining rugby. The attack angles were inventive and their whole style of play was refreshingly honest. They still have lots of work to do on defence, and a better side would have exploited that, but there are lots of positives.

I’d see him as a hard carrying six. I’d rather have Keddie developing than the attempted conversion of Seb Davies. With everyone fit then he won’t get there as we have such strength at open side but that does mean that our backrow is a bit unbalanced.

Keddie was a brilliant junior but while he's clearly talented, he doesn't impress me so much at the Dragons, not enough to demand a Wales call up.

Definitely a marked improvement this campaign.

Dai F seems to have instilled a pattern of play that fits with the players, and hasn't lost the change rooms like Ryan did

Looking forward to many more wins
